Got through the working day on coffee and skimmed milk as per normal (and much sparkling water), wish I'd been a bit busier, but feeling OK. Journey home on the tube now, then a bit of tidying and some TV tonight to occupy me (why does everything I watch on a fasting day have loads of food in?).

Doesn't look like we'll be joined by anyone from the US today because of thanksgiving, but good luck to anyone else starting out in different time zones :clover:
@Egduf: I love it that you were posting on the tube. Such a long way away from here and such a different kind of life. I love the forum for how it puts me in touch with that. I agree about fasting and tv and food. It's the same here. Every Thursday everything is about food: The Gourmet Farmer; Thai street food; some one on Italian food - it never ends. But the fast does!
@Egduf I catch the Victoria line to Kings Cross. If the Victoria line is slow I jump on the Picadilly line .. sliding doors?
@Sallyo - looking forward to your London/UK visit .. at some point.
Yesterday's fast finished with steamed green peas and grilled salmon. Only had a cup of 80 cal pumpkin soup for lunch with some oats and it was really fulfilling. First time in more than a year that I didn't have only soup and it was great :wink:
@SallyoYes, having been to Tasmania nearly 30 years ago, it is rather different here! Last night's fast evening TV was Nigel Slater's Icing on the Cake: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04pl14k/nigel-slaters-icing-on-the-cake, a bit too mouth watering. Enjoyed breakfast this morning (but no cake though).
@Egduf, thanks for that, and here's the Gourmet Farmer link. He's in Tasmania .

@Lizbean: I can't wait either.
@SallyO, I often think that Hugh the River Cottage guy from England would be proud of you- growing and eating your own veg and salad, cooking pigeons and other old worldly fare and revelling in your gastronomy-buying half a lamb of the side of the road from a farmer in your idyllic countryside! He might like to visit you- I think a lot of us would eh @Lizbeanband @Egduf? Anyone else?
Xxx julianna
Oh yes@Julianna, @Sallyo will come for sure :wink: though I think a 6 month trip is required! :shock:
