I am in today, won't be able to do another one until next Thursday !
Great work you fasters!

I've surprisingly managed a good fast after all that - beef & veg soup for lunch and a small chicken and mushroom risotto just now. Everyone else is enjoying apple pie, so I've taken myself off to check in here instead.
Fluid Fasted until 7pm and dinner was so lovely and kitchen shut now 2 hours later . All the best fellow fasters
I'm in for my third this week (sat, mon and today)
I've not been good on my non fast days so I'm not expecting too much tomorrow, though I know I'll be gutted if I've not lost anything!
good luck Thursday fasters x
Day nearly done. Went well all day but I had a good fish and vegetable dinner after which I indulged in some left over rhubarb and hazelnut cake, which was stale anyway. I wish I hadn't. But I'd sat on the phone for an hour and a half to 2 hours of very tedious meeting discussing reform of the Green Party constitution and I needed a treat! It was a very bad move and I feel sad that I succumbed after having such a good day. Oh well, try again on Monday.
I'm fasting today, finding it harder than Tuesday but then I usually do.@Sallyo, I hate that, when you succumb to something that isn't all that nice anyway and just think: 'well that wasn't worth the calories.' I had a couple of cheese croissants the other day. They weren't even that cheesy, total waste. Never mind though eh.
Yes I am here too. Very slowly losing a lb a week but am pleased to see a shrinking waist and upper arm diameter reducing too. This hour after 4 pm is the worst. I usually give in by 5 pm and have my one 'meal' of the day. And spend the following hours still peckish but try to hang on to nearer bedtime for some sort of snack as will not sleep if hunger gnawing away. I probably go over my fast day allowance. Even though I have not eaten today yet, I have had two bovril drinks and a couple of sugar free sweets so that is nearly 100 calories gone already
I'm in today, usually my 2nd fast of week but had failed fast on Monday :frown: so ended up on 1,000 for the day.
Hopefully won't head that way today so far have managed to avoid cake and cupcakes as a colleague was off on mat leave so am feeling :victory:

Just wondering for people who work, I find 1 meal a day really hard - I find it impossible to concentrate in work (I need to use my brain in work - IT nerd!) so since I started having lunch and dinner I have found fasting much easier.
Also means I can go for lunch and no one is looking at me as to why I am not eating - low cal bread like nimble is great for this I can have a 150 cal sandwich and it looks like I am eating a lot more.

Tea usually involves eggs of some sort.
I am trying to get my head around lowering carbs as believe me they are my downfall on feast days.
I find energy draining by lunchtime so Bovril is my quick fix .... have some homemade veg soup in freezer also but Bovril can go in travel mug and be in car with me.
Hello, I too am fasting today. Nothing to eat so far, but not feeling great as my face is all swollen up. Fun! Good luck fasters :clover:
I've been fasting today - just wasn't able to get online. It has gone very well, stuck to herbal tea and water all day. Had a couple pieces of sugar-free gum, went for a walk and felt giddy. That's never happened before but I can only put it down to the sweetener in the gum as I never normally touch it but was desperate for something to make my mouth taste better.
After a horrible day today (inc finding out I've upset a new member) I was ready to give up my fast earlier. Fortunately the issues have kept me very busy until 6pm. I've just finished dinner of salmon and salad, so I even have enough cals left for a square or two of chocolate if I need it later!
@karenm glad you were able to stick it out x
I've just broken fast with ham salad and a few strawbs x
Sorry folks i havent time to read any more posts..hope everyone is doing well today! ( yesterday) x
It was very close! I'm hoping that (other than Ka's surgery) if I can cope with today, I can cope with anything without relying on food! x
I have been fasting today, too. Didn't post last night because we had a big storm and a five hour power failure right before dinner. So the fancy steak dinner we had planned turned into a peanut butter sandwich and a melting ice cream pop.

We are about to have another thunderstorm this evening, but I have everything I need for my dinner prepared and worst case, I could cook the rest of it on the grill (out in the rain, but hey, I won't starve.)
