Fasting today, Tuesday 10 May
10 May 2016, 09:25
It is a Tuesday. Are there really no other fasters? I managed to start this topic - hurrah. I find managing this site a bit difficult still. :dazed:
Well, I had my visitors and my weight seems to be now stuck at 58,9 kg every morning. I felt I was getting somewhere, when the visitors came. We had a wonderful time together. So this is an other attempt of being a little less round.
I am still trying to figure out a suitable weight for me. My goal weight for a long time was 51.7 kg - that gives me BMI of 20. But since I an having my 60th birthday this year I was wondering whether I ought to weigh a little more than that. I am trying to get to BMI 22.0 Which I have not been able to do since Christmas. I wonder whether I lose any weight today. I will not eat anything until tonight. And I will walk about 5 km fast.....
The results will be there tomorrow morning.
Good luck to you all :clover:
We have wonderful weather here now
Fasting Today - Tuesday 10 May
10 May 2016, 09:26
Hi all....is there anyone else out there fasting today?
I'm starting this thread a bit late in the day, as I am just having my fast day evening meal here in Melbourne - a veggie schnitzel oven baked with loads of veggies on the side. A pear and ricotta will round off the meal.
I made some progress last week after being up and down the same 1lb or 2 for a while. Last week I actually went down a bit and stayed there, which I think is a result of reigning in my weekend eating. That has spurred me on!
Good luck to everyone else joining in today.
Oops, you did your page a minute after mine!!!
Opps - we started out threads at the same time! Is there anyone about who can merge Tuesday 10th fasts together?

Thank You

Hi Margotsylvia, your weight seems very low already,I am not very good with forum, still getting used to it.
Hi guys happy fasting for us terrific tuesday fasters!
@margotsylvia i think you might allow yrself just a little leeway now youre turning sixty..
Our bones might get a bit less strong as we age, so a little padding can protect bones against potential falls and accidents. X
Hi everyone!
Yes @Margotsylvia I agree with Candy @Candicemarie you sound as though you are a lovely size now. Now its just down to maintaining! Easy then huh?!!
I'm in today for what has become my regular 5:2 Tuesday fast! I won't eat anything until this evening when I know I'm having a salad but not sure yet what to have with my salad: chicken or fish? Hmm big decision eh?!
I've bean a bit on the down-side these past few days and as a consequence I have binged on chocolate like nobody's business! I'm hoping a couple of fasts this week will get be back on track. Here's hoping!
Good luck to my fellow Tuesday fasters!
Bean xx
Oh! I'm in. On the day of my final, no less. Perhaps it is inadvisable to do this on so few calories! A few of the questions are related to metabolism and leptin and stuff like that :-)
Well gals,my fast went swimmingly...hope yours too xx onwards and downwards and here's to long term health benfits for us..yahoooooooooo! :like:
Thanks Carorees for sorting us out! Thanks all for your kind comments.
Do you know that I am 5""2 and small boned?
This morning - after my fast - I weighed 58.2 kg and my BMI still is 22.73.
That ought to give you some idea of my size.
My next fast day will be Friday, I will still be chasing that evasive 22.0 BMI, just to know how much I weight then.
Hope your final went well @MaryAnn! I guess if you were fasting, your brain was more active/alert!
Like Candy @Candicemarie my fast went very well. I'm going to enjoy today because tomorrow is yet another fast - doh!
Well done everyone who got through their Tuesday fast. When is your next one eh?!!
Bean xx
@maryann hope yr finals went ok xx are yr exams now done? Time to celebrate if so,and best of luck with the results ..i bet you've smashed it! X
Thanks, @nursebean and @CandiceMarie! My colleagues here say it's more stressful to give an exam than take one, which may be an exaggeration, but there is so much riding on it for the students, it is stressful. I was so completely depleted by the end of the night after just proctoring it (running from room to room, texting/emailing around any clarifications, etc.)

Another fast day done, though. That always feels good! Hope yours went well, too!
@maryann well done on a good fasting day x
Oh i see,it was yr studes sitting exams, not you! Yes i can see how stressful that can be when you want them to do well, not be overcome by nerves etc...anyway all the running about while fasting has got to be good! X
