Good day today - just had a small portion of homemade lamb curry and salad n evenings not my problem time so yay!

Definatly freezing on fasting days now the weather has changed tho.

Hope everyone else is managing too x
90 mins till dinner time and I am very rumbly, and cold. Ironically the warmest I've been all day has been when I went out for a run this morning. I've been hugging a mug of hot sugar free squash for most of the afternoon.
Dinner will be a Waitrose Love Life meal (318 cals) and a pot of assorted vegetables steamed in the microwave. All this will easily leave me enough calories for a mug of Options at bedtime. :starving:
I have done well today too. Home made fish tagine, 263 cals. As below. Still have some calories left for later

I'm in as well - Week 4 for me!

Very discouraged last week when I weighed in at the doc's and was only a pound under my last weight there 2 months before (which was an all-time high!). Fought the urge to sock the nurse, as technically it may not have been all her fault. (Well, she did make me get on the infernal thing....) Whilst wallowing in discouragement I ate too much Halloween candy :-( But I'm ready to rally and forge ahead regardless now.
I'm in today as well. liquids only until tomorrow lunchtime. (which reminds me... time to go fill up the water bottle again!)

gimmick... it most definitely was the darn nurse's fault. ;)
@Gimmick I wouldn't trust the docs scales, they aren't calibrated properly. One nurse I spoke to said they calibrate by getting on each scale and making sure they all read about the same. Not testing to make sure they are actually accurate.
I use my own, naked, in the morning after a fast, after using the toilet but before eating, drinking or having a shower. Then I know its consistent. It won't agree with anyone else's scales, but, I know where I am with them.

Another cause of the weight increase is probably the clothes you were wearing. 2 months ago it was probably light weight summery clothing, this time you probably had thicker trousers on, a t'shirt AND a jumper, even thicker socks or tights could weigh half a pound.

Dinner tonight was a bit unusual. I have the kitchen totally upside down as I have emptied the cupboards to alter the larder cupboard. So my eldest made beefburgers, and to make the mince stretch further we would usually add grated carrot (a'la Hairy Dieters), but we ran out of carrots. So my son added grated cooked beetroot. I've not had day-glo red burgers before, but they were tasty and moist.
You guys are great. Thanks for the Hairy Dieters tip - never heard of them before but their recipes look interesting. Maybe not quite as interesting as neon burgers, though! You might have to start a business with those puppies :-)
