Due to PMT or just pure weakness, I have gone really silly recently...back to my bad middle of the night eating binges. A little voice keeps telling me "You've done so well, time for a reward!"......which is terrible, because I need to stop viewing food as a reward.
I am currently at my lowest weight for quite a number of years....but am not even in the top end of a healthy BMI yet....so there really is no room for complacency. I find the urge to eat comforting foods around my TOTM so compelling though, even though I can be quite good the rest of the time.....
I am so sorry you are not feeling too brill @loversghost - anything we can do to help?? Don't like to think of you suffering in any way. Sometimes the going gets tough for everyone at different times, but it is important to remember how very far we have all come since starting this WOL. This is long-haul folks, the end of yo-yo dieting....forever! I am nearly 52 years old & so wish 5:2 had been around 30 years ago as it would have saved me a lot of grief. But we are where we are.....and we are all "a work in progress".....so every single day that goes by when we have been in control of our eating, should be recognised and celebrated.....and every day when we haven't, should be gently forgiven....& not dwelt on. Tomorrow is another day...so go easy on yourself, Loversghost and move forward when you are ready. We will be here to cheer you on, as you always do for us.
Take care xx
Yesterday was a bit of a carb fest, which I am trying to avoid. There were biscuits, some left over noodles (just a few spoonfuls), a jam doughnut AND half a bar of chocolate. Plus the potato croquettes at dinner time. Very naughty of me. I regretted it all, near enough as soon as I had swallowed. But some days are like that. I flatly refuse to feel guilty about slip up days. I do have a long term target, but I'm not in competition with anyone, not even myself, so getting there will be slow, but get there I shall, without turning myself into an emotional wreck in the meantime.
I'm joining today ladies, my second fast of this journey. Going to attempt to exercise today - will keep it light and hope it doesn't make me too hungry! Does anyone else exercise on fast days? I've heard good things about it! Good luck everyone
I did go to the gym last Friday late afternoon on a fast day and actually I felt ok and did come home feeling much lighter and my 500cal evening meal was just right, BUT I did not push myself and only did 20 mins cross trainer at med/low pace and 6 machines low weight.
Very happy with the results as Saturday weigh in was a definite 1 kilo down and I had not been as good as I should have on feast days!
For anyones first time exercising on a fast day take it easy until you know what suits you, even if you are used to exercise, you can always increase the next time, but you don't want to ruin your fast day by wearing yourself out.

Well said @Hazelnut20
I'm in today for 2nd of 3. Are you in today @bobshouse?
Good luck all
I am quite pleasantly surprised at my weigh-in today though. Just returned from a 4-day weekend at my friends' cottage, where I ate and drank prodigious amounts of food and booze. BUT..with faint hope, I did Fast 5 the last 2 days of the weekend and have LOST 1.7 pounds. Unbelievable
Good luck everyone.
