Both your dinner options sound delicious!
After my Monday bomb, I fasted yesterday with great success. I will not be joining you today, as I will fast again on my usual day tomorrow.
I am doing 16/8 today, and having a 'careful' day - thanks for your all help and support Julianna.
Your evening meal sounds delicious, have a great day.

I am swapping Thurs fast to today due to VERY indulgent meal last night. Caught up with friends who I haven't seen in years and we all brought (too much) yummy food to share. So much for this WOE reducing my appetite!! I think I ate double what everyone else had...
I certainly had a very swollen carb belly afterwards, still not very nice this morning. Didn't have any alcohol, guess that was something....
So will be trying to eat just salads today... I still have 'that dress' to fit into in 2 days time... So salads for the next 2 days as well I think (I should be ok once the belly has reduced again!)

Any one with any tips to help attack those extra pounds in time for holiday. im loosing around 1lb a week but missed a fast day last week and drank a lot, still pleased however as I still lost 1/2 a pound... I just hope it doesnt catch up with me this week.
What is this 16/8 fast?

We will see how it goes, there is always tomorrow, but if I get it out of the way today then I can relax and enjoy my weekend.
I don't normally sociaiise with you guys because I am a Monday-Thursday fasting snob but...I have decided to broaden my social circles and join you all today. Real reason: I joined this stupid Christmas Club which is making me accountable and after one week, I still can't fit into the Christmas Tent! So I am sitting on the lawn outside the tent, brought my Thursday fast forward to Wednesday and decided not to update my Christmas Club stats until next Week when I have something to show for it.
Beautiful day here though and I am going out for a big 10K walk in the sunshine! I may be joining you more often if things don't start happening soon!
Due to my overindulgence last night, was not even tempted by all the goodies on display, and was even able to do food shopping without buying anything not on the list!
Benbon - you asked about 16:8. This means only eating in an 8 hour period each day, eg noon to 8pm. Find a post from Ballerina, she has a link at the bottom of her posts to lots of info about it. I have been trying to do 16:8 for the last couple of weeks, as well as 5:2, and I think it is giving me some weight loss to compensate for all the overindulgent days I have been having due to going out a lot to eat.
Also, Benbon, lots of people suggest that a protein brekkie is better than a carb one - but of course, you need to work out what works best for you
Hope you have/ had a great walk Fishbaum. Melbourne has fined up a bit, but think the shopping centre walking (up and back and up and back) will do me for today!!
al4285 - I can understand there are times when you need comfort food if you do decide to have some, try to make sure you really savour it! Perhaps have a really nice protein and veggie meal first, as this may help with tiredness more than sugary/white carbs (assuming this is what you mean by comfort food). Main thing is that you look after yourself.
