I'm back!

I only did one fast in the last 2.5 weeks while I was in Europe. I tried to skip meals here and there, though. I haven't dared step on the scales yet. I'll wait until after a few fasts...
Welcome back MaryAnn and good luck to you and all the Wednesday Wonderful fasters x
A low cal day for me which may in fact just turn into a fast....time will tell x! :?:
I'm in today although it's going to be a tough day so let's see :like:
I'm here too, I've got college today so that'll keep me occupied and away from food! I prefer being away from home when I'm fasting BUT, a big but, it's so much harder to keep the fluids up - for obvious reasons
I am in as well. Have a good one everybody.
Me too but have to say my heart is not in it. Will do it though as do not want to give up. Lots planned to keep me busy and I am not hungry so far.
I'm in today. First fast for almost 2 weeks. It's going to be a tough one for me too as head is telling me to have the week off and start again next week. Must stick with it before this nonfasting gets out of hand. Good luck everyone :)
I'm in today instead of tomorrow as we've got meal out
:clover: Good luck to all fasting today. :clover: :clover:
Welcome back @MaryAnn
Come on @justdee Let's do this tough one together today we can if we're more determined than the hunger monster is let's kill his sabotage streak.
I'm in too. I hosted a Committee meeting at my house yesterday evening, which involved providing tea and 'fancy' biscuits. I managed to eat a restrained two biscuits whilst everyone was here but after they had gone, I hit the biscuits - big time! It's been ages since I ate so many biscuits in one go and just shows me that I really cannot have my 'trigger' foods in the house. Willpower just doesn't exist in some circumstances!

I had already decided on a 4:3 this week, so today I pay for yesterday's BIG mistake! :frown:

Good luck everyone, stay strong and we will succeed! :clover: 'Onwards and onwards' (as we supposed 'Maintainers' say)! and 'Onwards and downwards' - if you're not yet in that happy place!
I'm in too - I ate chocolate last night like a mad thing (and paid for it with stomachache in the night so that'll stop me in the future) but my weight loss has slowed down almost to nothing (despite the low carbs - apart from the choc last night of course - even with that I still came in at under 100g for the day) and so I am in a quandary because I find the lack of progress demotivating - it used to really spur me on to see the scales drop on my official weigh day...but alas, no more...Any suggestions? Was thinking of doing another fast a week but then not sure.
Hi. @loversghost, I see that you have just celebrated your Fastiversary - Congratulations! You have lost an amazing amount of weight and should be very proud of yourself! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I'm afraid that it's a sad truth but weight loss does slow down, or even plateau for a while, when one gets towards a 'normal' BMI and it's hard to keep going when one doesn't have the reward of seeing losses (of any size) every week.

I am not a 'low-carber' and don't count calories any more but might it be worth you keeping track of every morsel of food and drink for a week or two just to see if there are undiscovered food/drink items which are not working in your favour? I understand that low carbers often promote the use of 'good' oils but even they are high in calories and may be pushing you calorie intake over the limit. Also remember that your TDEE will now be much lower than when you started because of your wonderful weight loss, so you may be eating just a little too much on you non-fasting days.

All I can say is, dig deep, remind yourself how far you have come and why you started this WOE in the first place. You have found a WOE which allows you to eat chocolate without guilt ( I certainly don't feel guilty about last night's biscuits - I just enjoyed every one of them - see above post!) and which means that you are not doomed forever to count calories, points, 'sins' etc.

Sorry for the length of this post but you sounded rather despondent and in need of some cheering up. Onwards and downwards!
@loversghost I could have written your post
today I'm in exactly the same situation my weightloss each week provided me with the motivation to carry on to the next week and I'm not down to my pre xmas lowest weight yet!
However we've both stuck with this WOL something for me unheard off I'm my previous life, by now I'd be back to my 19 stone beginning, no were here plodding on.
I don't like to give anything up totally but reducing my carbs even further always kickstarts my weightloss again with the trial I did with Debs I went to 20g daily for 4days I messed up day one so did an extra as carorees suggested 3 days = / very low carb.
I really do need to start losing again as my goal is another 50lb away so that's my plan of attack this week, and I have to say I feel so much better eating this way it brings back all those "highs" if last year, makes me wonder why I keep going back to the higher carb when I feel fantastic.
Worth a try just 3 days at 20g or even lower are you in with me coz its forum weigh-in this weekend. :clover: :clover:
If i can distract self from going out to buy a loaf ( visions of buttered bread floating before my eyes) this will be a fast day instead of my usual thursday..will see if i can manage monday/ today/ friday this week.Feel i CAN resist the bread after something @lizbean said a few days ago, over in the low carb tent
@StowgateResident have done that biccy thing so many times over the years.. Just a couple then later, break down and eat the remainders.
@loversghost fastiversary congrats! X get yrself over to the Fastiversary Tent where the champagne is on ice! :like:
