Good morning from sunny Brisbane...I'm fasting today...please come and join me,,,the more the merrier ;)
Hi there, I'm in. I'm a bit out of whack as my sister has been in hospital again and my brother has been staying with me. Hopefully my sister will be released today and my brother headed home at the crack of dawn, so I should be able to get back to normal. Planning to do today and tomorrow.
I'm in. I went a bit crazy yesterday (my body thinks it's still on holiday!), so today feels much needed…

Good luck Wednesday fasters.

I hope your sister gets well soon, Chook.
I'm in today, probably my last full fast until this time next week.

Heading "oup north" tomorrow, to spend a few days with my mum, brother and step dad.
Fasting and feeding my fitbit will definitely be on hold.
See you all later for dinner chat!
I'm fasting today as well. I added an extra fastday for this week. And the third on Friday. Lots of festivities this weekend, so an extra fastday won't do much harm.
Good luck to us all today.
oh man, i just walked past the desk of a co-worker (a quite thin co-worker, especially considering her age and 3 children!) and saw 5 kinds of chocolate. 5! She says it's her only weakness, and she is otherwise a bit of a health freak, but today, on a fast day, it just feels unfair :-(

I'm off to do some HIIT in a bit. It's raining off and on today so I don't want to run outside...
Second fast for me. I've made some mushroom and celery soup with just a bit of stock. I am going to consume it today and tomorrow (65) cals for a 2 day liquid fast. That will give me 3 fasts this week.
I am in today as usual for Wednesday. I was reading the resurrected liquid fast thread and think I might give it a go - for 36 hours. My weight loss is a bit stalled again so will try something else to see how I feel. Good luck fellow fasters. :clover: :clover: :clover:
Im in too. With the kids Easter hols starting at the end of the week I only have a few days of normal eating before the cinstant running buffet of feeding young kids starts!

@Judithn, be careful with the liquid thing. There has been a bit in the media about this diet recently following the sudden death of Peaches Geldof. Aparently she used to do a liquid diet for weeks at a time. Some media are saying it can put the heart under stress. That said, I really dont know much about it, or how it affects you for a few hours. Be safe. The weight doesnt go on over night and it shouldnt come off over night.
Count me in today. Just seems so natural now to eat one day, fast the next. Good luck all you Wednesday fasters.
Hi @scubachick.Thanks for your concern but I don't think occasional liquid fasts do any harm and in fact, according to lots of studies quoted on this site, they are beneficial. Dr. M.M. did a 3-day near-total fast in his documentary "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" and his blood tests showed improvements in markers of inflammation, etc.
I am not sure what Peaches Geldof was doing but I am sure it was extreme if it was the cause of her death. People with anorexia do die of cardiac problems (remember Karen Carpenter, if you are old enough). There is no fear of that happening to me, I love food too much. That's why I am here
Just want to see how a complete fast feels. There are lots of regulars on this site who do it routinely  :like:
Hello all, I'm here today doing my 2nd of 3. I seem to have got the hang of this 4:3 thing, just hope I have a loss, some nonfast days I have gone over TDEE. Good luck everyone have a great fastday. :)
Dee
Count me in, 2nd fast of the week, I attacked a bag of mini chocolate eggs yesterday so Need to get back to normal. I am away for a week with my 4sons their wives and children so for the first time since I started over a year ago I will not have a fast day next week. I am going to try and stick to 16/8. Good fasting to all Wednesday faithfulls.

Thanks for the info @Judithn, that is very interesting. :like:

Well, I have got to lunch time. My fasts are turning into regular, same food each time sort of days. Today I went mad and had a 40kals of blueberries for a late morning snack. Normally, its just a black cuppa. The berries helped to push my lunch to nearly 2, so that worked well for me.
I'm in today. Just had my lunchtime soup and off for a lovely walk in the sunshine with a gaggle of kids....second walk of the day!

Have fun everyone.....see you on the other side x
