Ooh i feel for you! I do think the 40 cal drinks like Cally suggested are great..
They are hot and comforting, give you a taste of choccy, you can sip it slowly so it lasts..and at 40 cals isnt going to damage yr calorie piggybank x

I did cold turkey a while back and went without anything chocolate for a month. Along with starting 5:2 it is the best thing I ever did. I still enjoy chocolate but I am in control. There is now never a time when I feel I have to have some

Thankfully, 5/2 has totally curbed my sweet tooth, always been a savoury girl until the BF came along

His downfall is his sweet tooth so mine got activated and have been eating alot (to me) of sweet goodies, so I am very pleased to get it back under total control :like:

The same can not be said for yorkshire puddings though, they are to me what chocolate is to you guys

I used to love Cadbury's Dairy Milk or Galaxy chocolate but now find them both overbearingly sickly sweet. My taste buds must have changed as I now prefer a couple of squares of Aldi's 70% cocoa solids dark chocolate , a real bargain, or Green and Black's.

If its a fast day, got for a walk or have a cuppa and console yourself that you can have some tomorrow. If its not a fast day, go for it!

Thanks for your replies. I don't normally have chocolate bars that I like in the house except for dark choc for cooking. The coffee bars were a special offer ie,3 for 2 and bought at weekend but not eaten.I guess I would not of craved for them if it was a normal eating day but I was starving! However I managed to hold back until after tea. On the two fasting days, I go without breakfast and lunch so I then have a smaller cooked tea. This means I don't eat for 24hrs approx., so eating the choccy bar after tea
is not too bad.
I have enjoyed reading your tips and I will try and get some cocoa nibs, they sound rather good, Julieathome. I don't like low calorie products as artificial sugars have an ill effect on me so I avoid cocoa drinks unless they are pure in ingredients. Perhaps I'll try a teaspoon of cocoa, Navwoman, with a mug of coffee in the other hand!
