I WANT CHOCOLATE!
28 Oct 2013, 15:53
:starving: I want chocolate, boohoo! How can I keep busy when the house smells of a recent fry-up left over from my son's lunch. I've taken the dog out and I come back in, still starving and all I can smell is bacon! I sit down and then remember there is chocolate in the cupboard! How can I resist?

Have you tried any of those low cal hot chocolate drinks eg Cadbury's Hi-lo? Recommend them for a passable fix when nothing else but chocolate will do!

I try to always have mini milkybars in the house, 69 calories each and always deal with my chocolate cravings :-)

I also keep mini treats in and if its that bad for you now you may as well go for the chocky because nothing else will probably satisfy you  you will just work your way munching through half the kitchen :clover: Sue. :clover:

No chocolate in the house is the best solution. I've tried the low cal Chocolate drinks, it is a matter of taste I guess but I just don't like them. I'd rather go without altogether.

That's why I keep a tin of cocoa powder - when I get the chocolate craving I eat 1tsp = only 12 calories.

Or alternatively, 1 square of Lindt 90% chocolate from the fridge - only 55 cals and hardly any sugar (actually the perfect balanced diet, I reckon!)

Problem is that I wouldn't be able to stop at just the one square of Lindt chocolate!!

I too have dark chocolate in the cupboard for chocolate frenzy times. I sit and slowly let it melt in my mouth. Usually one piece is all it needs to feel that I have had chocolate. The taste is so intense its all I need. You can get cocoa nibs from Amazon which are the cocoa beans, the flavour isn't sweet at all, but it gives the flavour hit you need.

If you can't resist, have the chocolate, a small piece. Its better than trying to find 'something' to satisfy that particular craving. Because if its chocolate you want an apple won't do, nor a couple of crackers, nor a couple of slices of ham. I had this once. By the time I counted up all the low calorie alternatives I had eaten, I could have had two bars of chocolate. Its an extreme example, but shows a point.
