Checking in at the end of the day. Had a lovely pumpkin red lentil soup for dinner, with spices and yogurt and mint. Delicious. Feeling good. Done well. Wild night, candles ready for a black out should they be needed. Apparently thousands of Tasmanians are without power tonight. Night night and happy fasting.

I'm also fasting today, had natural yoghurt with cherries, almonds and seeds for lunch and will be having a prawn and mango chilli salad for tea soon. Feeling really hungry and will be cooking tea for my daughters soon so think I'll have my salad soon too. I need to keep focused and not start picking at food!

That pumpkin red lentil soup sounds lovely :)

@Lil Hot chocolate is an Aussie brand called Vitarium, also Fangks, doubt it will be available in UK as they emailed me saying they were struggling here with supermarkets not stocking their brand, they do a range of Stevia products. I make it as u would an instant coffee ie hot water with a dash of milk...my dessert substitute in fast nights.

Good day, think I'm a tiny bit over as I had a very small healthy lunch (we were on retreat so I needed some brain fuel ) and a itsy bitsy plate of chicken pieces on marinated courgette spaghetti. Yeh! I'm happy with that.
How did you do?

Very late to the fast party again! But Idid fast, Mondays always a breeze and much needed as Sunday I had a fantastic day out at a music festival and drank at least a bottle of Rosé and shared an indian meal, half the rice, main and bread. Then had a naughty amount of unsalted cashews. Decided I'm banning cashews lol. So my total was about 2500 cals!!! But I was 5/600 cals under every none fast day last week and will do the same this week. Hope you all got through it OK. X

I'm in today, just past 2pm here, so I've had liquids and my usual clear fiber...tricks my tum for a bit (into thinking it got something), plus helps with a digestive...slowdown on the day after a light day. Will do broth 4ish (whenever I can't hold out any longer!), dinner 9pm or later. Got some local strawberries at Whole Foods; ate a few last night, but will probably have some with a bit of FF greek yogurt for an afternoon "snack" if I'm too nibbly to wait. Sometimes I find it's counterproductive to push (eating) too late, as I then get into "desperation mode" and want to nibble while cooking..not good! Also got a package of my fave low cal frozen yogurt bars (Julie's fudge bars; 100 cals, but are lovely and creamy and all natural; I don't do artificial sweeteners, can't even stand stevia), so will need to save cals for that before bed.

@Ferretgal .... keep going! it's amazing how far one can stretch 500 cals or less to keep you going. Off to bed. Good luck to everyone other side of my midnight. :clover:

Hello!
Long time no see! I fell off the fasting wagon! Gained about 10 lbs total, so I'm crawling back here! I had technically been fasting all along, at least that was my plan each morning, but then I'd start snacking and have a weak finish. So I'm back in full force, need to shed those pounds for summer!
Nice to see everyone again!

Monday fast this week. This morning, my weight was better than expected, 135.5lbs. after a weekend of graduation parties and a couple of meals out. I'm pleasantly surprised! I actually had two grilled hamburgers this weekend--I think it had been a month or 2 since I had had one! Gotta love this way of eating and living.
Breakfast: 2 T. oatmeal, 2 lg. sliced strawberries, 3T yogurt and lots of black coffee
Lunch: about 1.5 c. homemade chicken veg soup, 1/2 a corn tortilla with a little pepperjack cheese
Snack: 2 c. popcorn, popped in microwave popper
Supper: sliced grilled eggplant with homemade marinara sauce and 1/3 Italian sausage
Now, I'm not sure, but I think that is in the 500-600 cal. range, not perfect but doable
Before bed, 2 T cider vinegar and 1/2 oz. manchego cheese for blood sugar purposes (an experiment).
Tomorrow, I plan to eat meals and not fast, but not eat carbs. Wednesday is my annual check-up and I would really like my blood sugar to be in the okay range. I don't want a fast to artificially raise the number. My number has been borderline for a long time. When I was pregnant at 39, I had gestational diabetes, but I was very careful and there were no complications for my daughter. Afterward, I went back to normal and thought it would continue to be normal. But, I put on weight (about 45 lbs.) and kept it on for about 22 years. It has been going down, but the borderline blood sugar has been pretty much a constant. So, the vinengar and small bit of cheese at bedtime to counteract possible dawn effect....we'll see if it works!
I'll check back with results when I get them.
I am just so happy to be where I am weightwise and hopeful of not needing meds. I'll do what it takes to make that work!
 Thank you 5:2!
