That pumpkin red lentil soup sounds lovely
That was hard...start to work a 7am to 6:30 pm...I'm hungry...not in a good mood. Can wait to be tomorrow and have a good lunch.
I had, salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, tea and tea....tea...tea....and a porridge.
Next fast day Thursday.
Good evening everybody
How did you do?
Have had my soup...and some coffee.....so may have to go to bed now, so I can't think about food!
Weigh in day tomorrow........for the Super Summer Challenge....all fingers are crossed!
Long time no see! I fell off the fasting wagon! Gained about 10 lbs total, so I'm crawling back here! I had technically been fasting all along, at least that was my plan each morning, but then I'd start snacking and have a weak finish. So I'm back in full force, need to shed those pounds for summer!
Nice to see everyone again!
Breakfast: 2 T. oatmeal, 2 lg. sliced strawberries, 3T yogurt and lots of black coffee
Lunch: about 1.5 c. homemade chicken veg soup, 1/2 a corn tortilla with a little pepperjack cheese
Snack: 2 c. popcorn, popped in microwave popper
Supper: sliced grilled eggplant with homemade marinara sauce and 1/3 Italian sausage
Now, I'm not sure, but I think that is in the 500-600 cal. range, not perfect but doable
Before bed, 2 T cider vinegar and 1/2 oz. manchego cheese for blood sugar purposes (an experiment).
Tomorrow, I plan to eat meals and not fast, but not eat carbs. Wednesday is my annual check-up and I would really like my blood sugar to be in the okay range. I don't want a fast to artificially raise the number. My number has been borderline for a long time. When I was pregnant at 39, I had gestational diabetes, but I was very careful and there were no complications for my daughter. Afterward, I went back to normal and thought it would continue to be normal. But, I put on weight (about 45 lbs.) and kept it on for about 22 years. It has been going down, but the borderline blood sugar has been pretty much a constant. So, the vinengar and small bit of cheese at bedtime to counteract possible dawn effect....we'll see if it works!
I'll check back with results when I get them.
I am just so happy to be where I am weightwise and hopeful of not needing meds. I'll do what it takes to make that work!
Thank you 5:2!
