Hi Fasters everywhere. Today is a regular fast day for me and my third this week. I am endeavouring to meet my goal weight on the Christmas challenge. Yesterday I had pizza at a kiddies break up party - so today will have to be a verrrrrrry strict fast.
I'm having my coffee and nothing until lunch time, which will be cucumber and cherry tomatoes with some homemade veggie soup broth.

Happy, loss causing fasting everyone!
I'm in too. It's going to be a lovely day in the mid 30s :sun: here again, so that makes fasting a lot easier for me.
Early start@chinchin. I'm at work; been to my last yoga class until after the holidays, had my black coffee in the staff room and I'm ready for the day. Unfortunately I saw a lot of Christmas treats being unloaded into the staff room fridge for morning tea and I feel unable to refuse them. Still, I will try to indulge moderately and then hold off until dinner of fish and salad. And I just remembered there would be staff end of year drinks and hors d' oeuvres at the bosses place tonight. Oh well. I'll just see how the day pans out. Possibly I could just call off the fast and try for one tomorrow, but then, I'm having guests for dinner tomorrow. Today is the last day of the school year for children and for me. No one expects Japanese classes on the last day so I won't be doing them. I think I will do a big clean out of my filing cabinet and no doubt find lots of useful resources that I could have used this year, had I remembered they were there. Have a good one everyone.
Back to my usual fast day today. :) Had midnight (1am actually) snacks last night when I couldn't get back to sleep... Hmmmm
A glorious day here at the moment.. Builders still around. Lovely men tho they are, it will be nice when the work is done.
@Sallyo, I think you should just enjoy the end of the year festivities without fasting, just try to only have the foods that you really want and savour them!
Best wishes everyone. :clover: :) :clover:
I'll wait until I jump on the scales in the morning before deciding whether I'm fasting, or not. If I am within two pounds of my target weight then I shan't be joining you. This morning, when I weighed, in I had managed to lose eight and a half pounds of the nine pounds that I put on during my twelve day cruise and that's taken only five days! :victory: I must have just been so full of retained water that I'm surprised that I didn't make sloshing noises as I walked! It's good to know that I am entering the festive season at around my target weight!
Good luck to those fasting on Thursday. Onwards and downwards!
I'm joining you today! Usually do a Thursday fast, but that is the day for the work holiday party. It's been tough lately - cookies and things in the office! I'm trying to be reasonably good but for some reason it's much tougher this year than last. I guess the thrill of the new WOE has worn off. Still plugging away and mostly successful for two fasts this week. Not sure what to plan for next week!
Good luck everyone
I'm in today. I'm continuing with ADF, except for a two day break Fri and Sat. I feel like I should do a good job today to make up for that.

Good luck, Thursday fasters!
I am struggling today! :( had the miso soup quite early, and now keep alternating coffee and tea... I guess it is only 3 hours til dinner, so I should be able to make it. I am tired, that doesn't help, and the house cleaning is taking forever!
@Sassy1, hang in there. Nearly dinner time.
Your advice was good. I didn't fast. I indulged in cake, chocolate reindeers and a doughnut. I felt a bit sick, which is not something that usually happens to me. I guess not having breakfast and then eating all that, wasn't ideal. I bought some Tasmanian scollops for dinner but that seems a long way off so I have just had 2 pieces of toast: if I'm not fasting there's no point in battling hunger.
Welcome to Thursday, @nycnyc2013.
Very impressive fast return to target weight, @StowgateResident!
Darn it lost my post.
I'm here, a bit late and a bit sad that our Daughter leaves for a four week trip through Europe tomorrow. Our first Christmas without her  She will be in Lapland with Santa so she'll be happy
I'm in, well, I won't have breakfast or lunch, but am out to a friends for a meal this evening, so know that I'll have more cals than normal. The trouble is that I've nothing planned to fill my day, and it's a horrible day...
Good luck Northern Hemispherers :clover:

That sounds like a good last day of term @Sallyo and really, it would've been rude not to join in! I hope the sick feeling didn't last.
Aww @Wineoclock although I know how you'll miss your daughter, I can see that you're happy for her too.
I'm in for a fast today. Had a bit of a sugar splurge yesterday, so I must be strict today. I have a feeling it may be rough. Lots of broth and hot tea in my future today.

Good luck all! :clover:
I ' m in too ...looking forward to fish for dinner.craving it so i must need it
@Sallyo glad you enjoyed the Xmas goodies..its only once a year and as @StowgateResident has proved, any gains can soon be dealt with x
Got no sleep at all last night and the temptation to have comforting tea and toast early this morning was enormous, but it passed. :like: x x
I'm with you today. It's lunchtime so I'm off for a walk and will pick up some fizzy water.
@Wineoclock my daughter is off for 3 weeks in South Africa, flying this evening ......... she is SOOOOOO excited.
Happy fast everyone.
I'm doing my usual Thursday fast, too. Started last night around 7 and resisted temptation all evening, too.

Just learned a new barbecue place opened in the nearest town, so will try it tomorrow. Hope it's good. This region has some of the worst barbecue I've ever eaten. I lived in Texas so I've had the real thing. But hope springs eternal. Good barbecue is such a pleasure.
