Fasting today?

My fasting day too - week 3, fasting day 6.

I am confused though, I have to say. After no loss last week I was beginning to think I wasn't eating enough on my feed days, as I was really careful not to over do it (and my friend eats literally LOADS on feed days and is losing weight really quickly). But having done my TDEE, which is 1671 on a feed day, that's not much really is it, and gives me only 417 cals on a fast day!

Persevering until weigh day on Tuesday, if the scales are still stuck I may need to re-evaluate :-(
My 4th fast today, ate after work at about 10pm last night, no solids for me until about 11am tomorrow. Happy fasting to you all.
Good morning and good luck to everyone (Maybug- hope tomorrow will go well!). 2nd fast of the week, quite optimistic today as yesterday saw a drop on the scales. Slowly but surely :) . On that note, MissKC-It took me quite a while to see changes, keep on going and I am sure something will happen for you. It's annoying, this TDEE business, when you are short or have little to lose. I have a bit to go but I am only 5 foot 2. I have actually been letting myself have up to 500 cals (usually come in about 460-480). That's prob why it's been slow going but as long as it goes and doesn't come back I won't mind. fingers crossed.
Fasting today too, my 6th week but havent lost for last 2 weeks (gone up a 1lb) have workmen in so stuck in all day, bored and very close to the kitchen,
I just worked out my TDEE and it comes out as 2214 if I exercise between 5 to 6 times a week (Body Combat / Aerobics / etc.), so presumably that means that I can have UP TO 553 kcals? I know it's not much more than 500, but it does make a difference sometimes!!

I haven't posted here for a while. Sounds like people are doing well. This is mny second day of week 6! I can't believe I've kept this up for so long. It's half term for me and I'm staying at my parents' house over the weekend. Their normal breakfast is cooked tomatoes on homemade bread. I had my usual fast day breakfast of an egg and half a grapefruit. It's just past 11 and starting to feel I could eat something. I'm going to have a walk and go shopping soon. But later is going to be interesting because I'm going out with my sister to a comedy night. I haven't had an out fast day before. Has anyone had a break fast in a restaurant before? Restaurants are starting to have more calorie counts on their menus, aren't they?
Morning all, I'm on my second fast today and I'm doing consecutive fast days ( my OH does night shifts 2 nights a week and I just find it easier when he isn't sround to tempt me with big plates of spag bol etc :))
Feeling hungry and tired today but trying to keep busy at work and keep my mind off it :):)
Soooooo looking forward to dinner......

Struggling a bit today as I am cold and chained to the computer trying to finish a research paper! Everyone has just started to eat around me and it is not yet the lunch time onslaught! I am sure I will do it.

I tried a herbal tea earlier, managed about 4 sips over 20 minutes before I couldn't take it any more (these things are disgusting!) so I have got myself a sprite zero to keep my mouth entertained. I almost never have fizzy drinks let alone diet ones but water just wasn't doing anything for me other than increasing trips to the toilet!

Other than the sprite zero and water have had nothing so far. Will try to go for as long as possible before my 40 cal hot chocolate. Will have 2 poached eggs on a crumpet with a bit of ham for dinner tonight and looking forward to it. :)

Elaine - can you phone ahead to restaurants and ask them if they do? Alternatively, you could look at their menu's online (not sure if that is a good idea on a fast day).

Starskey - Good luck with the consecutive days. :) I am impressed!

this is my first week second fast and so far not too bad
the headache yesterday has gone and today have just had one normal tea with semi milk and herbal teas
am gonna try to get through to this evening for my 500 but if not i have Options or cuppa soup to help out

Hello Thursday fasters I'm with you. Feeling great today so far, only had drinks. I had b&b guests in this morning so served them a delicious breakfast. I thought initially that this would be hard but no, the discipline of this WOL means that I am quite comfortable with that.
Looking forward to home made roast tomato soup at lunch time, then my usual home laid eggs omelette and salad tonight. Simple is best for me I find.

DrLCH - what about a cup of Bovril (5 cals)? I find that 'smells' more like food, and helps me et through being surrounded by 6th formers eating lunch when at work (not a prob today - half of them are at college for the morning and the other half at driving this afternoon so most out for lunch - peace at last!!)
Just had lunch of microwaved egg, 1/2 pitta bread and an apple. Have found over the months that the smell of food can be almost as satisfying as eating it. I had discovered that just smelling an orange lets me put it back in the bowl and eat it later, but on Tuesday, step-son made himself cheese on toast for supper, long after I had eaten my calories for the day. I though it was going to be torture; on the contrary, I sniffed and sniffed and it smelled gorgeous but I didn't drool or long for a bite. My mind is finally learning that I can enjoy the thought of food without having to actually eat it. And there is always tomorrow...
Fast number 15 for me - it is hard today and I think it is coz I ate carbs all day yesterday! I have just had a 1 egg mushroom omelette with small salad, having soup tonight at work!
Lucky7 - I think my issue is I don't really like hot drinks, I don't like the feel of the hot liquid in my mouth. Some soups and the occasional hot chocolate are tolerated more than anything. I will consider the Bovril as it seems to be mentioned a lot on here. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
