Today is my fourth fast day and have found it easier although very sick of black coffee now. Hope everyone else had a good day.
Totally fell off wagon this evening had porridge at 8 am fluids all day then came home to a stressful household and had a carb fest hot cross bun half a muffin bar of choc n three jaffacakes sooooo annoyed at myself goun to try again tmr
Nothing apart from black tea / coffee / water all day so far, and have just cooked turkey & veg stir fry for dinner, and watch ed OH tick into his. I have Body Combat at 7pm though, so won't get to eat mine til just gone 8pm.

Feeling hungry and virtuous in equal measures!
Just a few more hours and I will have completed by 2nd fast day! Monday was my first and went really well. Today feels slightly easier than Monday already - maybe because I now know what to expect and that hunger pangs pass fairly quickly.

I save all my 500 calories for dinner as not eating breakfast seems to help me not feel hungry later (?!?!?!). So just had a dinner of waffles, eggs and tomatoes and it was yummy. Black tea and water until bedtime!

Hi all

Well done for getting this far, have people been enjoying the meals they were planning?

I cannot believe that I didn't eat until 25 mins ago, so almost 24 hours without eating. I never imagined I could manage a day at work without eating so am feeling really pleased.

It has been my 10th fast and just as easy, if not easier than the previous fast days. So I will do this again. I think not having breakfast meant (today at least) I didn't feel hungry so early.

I have certainly found that when I have a stressful day at work I like not constantly thinking about what I am going to eat next. It allows me to get on with work and I have had a load of energy today and keep smiling!

So thanks for all the posts they have kept me going today. Well done and enjoy eating tomorrow!
Amanda
Hi everyone,

When I first started doing this I used to have 3 tiny meals but now I am skipping breakfast and then having either lunch and tea (adding up to 500 cals) or all the cals in either lunch (when at work) or tea (when at home for the day). This seems to be working better. On the whole feel less hungry.
However today my stomach was rumbling loudly during a meeting I had in the morning! Also felt hungry on the journey home (and I had had lunch). Feel ok now though so can wait until tomorrow to eat.
8th fast day today and it went well because I was so busy there was no time to eat anyway. Bowl of homemade French onion soup for supper plus orange and a couple of squares of chocolate later. I hope this week brings a little loss at least - I haven't lost anything since week 1 :)
I was feeling really hungry today so I mixed my chilli & brown rice with water to make soup. I had two large yummy bowlfuls and I feel nice and full now :D
I am on my fifth fast day. I drank fluids until lunch and had 2 rice cakes with mixed veg and then had three ryvita with mixed veg and tuna, a fat free yogurt and a cup of hot water with lemon and a tsp of honey. In bed now and my tummy is rumbling. Can't complain though because I am down 8.5lb and I am getting more energetic :D
Morning everyone, joined this site a couple of days ago, had a normal eating day yesterday which was the first time in 2 months as I've been doing a popular diet but the weight loss is really slow now and I question it's sustainability, went to the gym for an hour as well, weighed myself this morning and had gained half a pound! Nothing like a bit of encouragement a?
So today I am first time fasting, can anyone let me know if they lost weight the first week or does it take several weeks to see some off?? Desperate to find this out!! :(
Hi, just found the answer on the FAQs and yes makes brilliant sense!
Still like to know if its expected to loose weight the first week though. :|
