I don't suppose many will be joining me on a Saturday but as a shift worker today is no different than any other day for me. I like to fast around my night shifts. Tonight is a 15 hour shift and I'm trying a new way of fasting, a soup day! I have made a pot of curried courgette soup which is 360 cals for the whole litre! Shall have some of that through the day if I need to and then at work tonight have more of it and maybe a bit of salmon with it. Should easily stay within the 500, I'm sure I won't need the al the soup!
Anyone else fasting today?
I'm joining you today as I want to support my son who is also fasting today. A bit difficult with lots of yummy home smells floating around. Good luck for today.
Good luck to you too! Nice to know I'm not alone.
I'm in too. I had fasted till 6pm yesterday, but had friends round for dinner, and decided to fast today instead as I had way over my 400 calories allowed on a fast day.
I am going to weigh in tomorrow too.
I feel a difference this week, but am nervous about standing on the scales as I've stayed the same for the last 2 weigh ins.
Good luck fellow Saturday fasters.
I'm fasting today as well. My weekends are usually very quiet and I often fast on a Saturday or Sunday rather than turn down social opportunities during the week.
hi
i do a half fast on saturdays if i can
i can zumba in the morning and not eat anything till tea time but then have normal meal and maybe a drink or 2
my normal fast days forthe 500 cals is tues and thurs

good luck everyone
Not too many of us fasting today then.
I've just started clock watching. I usually eat around 5.30 every day.
Not too long now till I can pig out on my 400 calorie allowance....
Tonight it's left over hairy bikers cottage pie with sprouts followed by fresh strawberries and lovely strawberry jelly.
I'd love some of the ice cream I had with it last night but hey I can have that tomorrow after my bacon sarnie!
Hope you're all having a good fast day. X
Hi all fasters,
Tummy is rumbling. Not too long before our fish and salad meal now. Did lots of gardening today so hope my scales are happy tomorrow.
Hi Everyone,

I also choose a Saturday to fast as I tend to eat less at the weekends than I do working 5 days a week.
I have just made a batch of quinoa and banana muffins and I am making myself hungry lol.

This is my 6th fast day and not doing too bad, a wee bit hungry just now. I am thinking about tomorrows meals and hoping for a shift on the scales. I also decided to increase my feast days to my TDEE, I was eating much less before.

Has anyone else noticed this as a positive move to losing more ?

The first week I lost 2 pounds and last week I stayed the same, so we will see.

Good luck to all of you, tomorrow is another feast day
:D
A few people have noticed this but we need more data to be sure it is a real effect! Please report back on what you find!
I have noticed that when doing ww.
The weeks I ate everything ,i.e all my points , I lost more weight than the weeks where I thought I'd cut back in the hopes of a greater weight loss.
I'm still finding what works for me here. I have using MFP to track food on feast days since having 2 weeks without loss just as a trial.
Tomorrow will tell the results when I stand on the scales although I realize there are other factors involved.
I fasted again today. I've been doing 5:2 since 5th feb and find my best days are saturdays as im so busy I forget to eat anyway!! Plus the next day I do a 10k run to and I treat myself to a healthy breakfast before I go.
