Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

Morning all. First fast day of the week but finding it hard today as it is soooooo cold. Tummy very rumbly. Anyway lots of water and black tea with conbeef hash to look forward to for tea. Good luck Trini, I hope your 15th fast day is a success.
6th fast for me today. I don't usually feel hungry in the morning but today I do. Dinner can't come soon enough!
3rd fast day today, don't drink tea or coffee and water boring so resorting to diet squash even though I don really like it. May try the lemon and water, sounds nice. Any other ideas? Hungry already, seems incredible will make it through the day but I know I've done it twice before. . .
Water is really really important - find whatever it takes to enable you to drink it. Dont think of it as a drink, its like putting oil in your car to make sure eberything runs smoothly.
If my calculations are correct this is my 48th fast day(!) and probably much needed after a birthday meal out last night and pizza at a friend's place the night before!

I prefer the term "feed days" for the non-fast days, but as long as we all understand each other, I don't suppose that it really matters!
So far it is going really well. I have come back from my walk in the sunny snow and had two black coffees. Although I really love black coffee and it seems to make hunger bangs fade away, I still have to be careful of not drinking too much as I end up feeling very edgy by the end of the day if I do.
It'll be baked cod and green beans for my lunch today and probably boiled egg and salad for tonight.

I'm fasting today because yesterday, my usual day, was my birthday. I ate far too much because we were 'eating up' left over food from the party we hosted on Friday. We had visitors on Saturday, who had slept over after the party, so that was another day of generous eating! We did manage to fit in a fasting day on Sunday, however, so hopefully my husband and I are now back on track for a weight loss at our weigh-in on next Sunday morning. We had both put on half a pound last Sunday, but were very happy with that, considering what we would normally have put on after such indulgence!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, have done about 7 fast days I think, and haven't really struggled till today. I'm starving! Have already eaten my cucumber and carrots, and a rice cake with Extra Light Laughing Cow, and black coffee, tea and lots of water. I feel really cold and shaky and still have seven hours till dinner :frown: not really sure how I am going to make it.
This is my first fast day today! Mainlining green tea and water, but I did cave already and have a coffee with semi skimmed milk :(

Not fasting today, but feel so good after having done so yesterday thought I'd send an encouraging post. Afternoons are hardest for me (think blood sugar must sink). It really works, but non-fast days should be mostly 'ordinary' - not binge days...just free from counting and weighing and thinking about it.

My first day today! Have persuaded husband to join in too, porridge for breakfast and just had a brisk walk up the hill and back instead of lunch!!
Not fasting here, just having a nosey and wishing you all the best today :oops: you know you can do it!
Hi mumoftwo, I fasted yesterday and was feeling the same way , very cold and very hungry so decided to have all my calories around 2pm (couldn't cope anymore) and after didn't eat anything again until breakfast this morning. Once I have eaten I felt fine and wasn't really hungry until late this morning. Maybe you can try it out and see how you feel.
it is very cold today which can't help mumoftwo.

I have no idea about calories in things so just compiling a list and now getting v excited about vegetables!!
