Fasting today - Friday 15 March

Hello all, it's that time of the week again. I overate on my feed day yesterday and am frankly quite relieved to be on a fast day today. I'll have my usual fast day fayre of a tuna salad at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It normally keeps me going without any hunger at all and only comes in at 366 kcals in total. I've tried only eating once or twice a day but I just couldn't do it. I'm hoping i doesn't matter that I have three meals given that the overall intake is so low. Anyway, good luck all you Friday fasters - here's to a happy and healthy repair day!
Woo hoo! This is my second fast day since I started (only started Wednesday)

I am actually finding today a little harder than my first fast but still, it is quite manageable. I think part of it was waking up thinking it was going to be a non-fast day and then by 9am when I got back from my walk and my wife updated me with the upcoming events I went...today is all I have.

Big difference was eating breakfast today. If I skip breakfast, I seem to not think about food again until the afternoon. If I eat it, then I am hungry all day. Weird, huh?

I am up to about 300 calories for the day and am saving my last 300 for dinner about 7pm. That's only about an hour and a half away (Sydney time).

Last night, I found a really ignorant article in News.com.au that really annoyed me. Obviously none of their "experts" has ever watched the Horizon episode or read the book. Coincidentally, it was published the day I started the diet.

16th Fast I think today for me. Feeling better this week.

Going to the Golf Club today to price up there Gym and swimming membership! That should be interesting, I figure the money I am saving not going out drinking should be put to better use than buying flowers for the OH!
Also fasting today and just read the article. I felt compelled to dash off a reply, not that it will do any good, but it made me feel better for five minutes!!
Same page, same day - go figure!!!

Morning Everyone, Friday Fasting day for me and to be honest it could not come quick enough. Ate loads this week and need this detox day. Only problem is I have a very bad headache at the moment. Does anyone else suffer from headaches when on their fasting days? Good luck everyone, hope the day goes quick for you all.xxx
Woken up today thinking Ah breakfast, then remembered its a fast day. Now trying to tell my stomach its not hungry. Going to have a coffee and get on with the day.
Read the article - there will always be detractors. They only have to see our group statistics to see they are wrong.
Was planning a fast day today but have woken up feeling a bit rubbish and very hungry so think I am going to give it a miss.

I have already fasted Monday and Wednesday this week - was planning an extra day due to lots of eating out!

Will get back on it on Monday and back to my usual Monday and Thursday fasts next week.

So looks like the word is out in Australia too. There is an article in the Women's weekly this month, an excerpt from the book I think ( not negative that one ). Also a negative article in the Sydney Morning Herald a couple of weeks ago by Michelle Bridges from the biggest loser. I wish they would read the book first.
Feed day today and too much too eat. Oh well it will all even out.

I am having an extra fast day today, woke up feeling a bit rubbish with a cold, so having hot lemon & honey and lots of vitamins to try and shift it.

Turkey broth for dinner when I get home tonight, and an exercise DVD if I feel up to it, otherwise I might just make some candles :-)
Hello Fellow Fasters! I'm fasting today - Fridays are my no-food-until-dinner fasts, while Monday are my have-3-meals-a-day fast as I'm working away from home & find it easier to eat a little through the day.
I'm finding today a bit difficult - I've already ridden two "waves" of hunger - but I hope I can hang on. I'm looking forward to Teriyaki baked salmon with steamed veggies tonight. And probably a hot chocolate too.

I have found my attitude to hunger changing on feast days. Before, I couldn't bear the thought of being hungry, and I had to have a snack with me "just in case". Now, I just say "OK, you're hungry. It's not a problem..." and carry on. I find that I forget my hunger as I get involved in whatever I'm doing.
Second fast day today actually really looking forward to it as I had pizza for tea last night and have woken feeling slightly more than slugish.

So a big low fat feta and beetroot salad tonight yummy, also my boyfriend (who annoying can eat his weight in anything and not gain a pound) did some searching for treats we could both have and has just walked in with mini milks Only 30 cal!

So that a lot of fizzy water should cure my night time snack cravings :)
Fasting today (this week will be a 4:3 for me)

I think I have made a mistake though...segmented two grapefruit to eat today (for breakfast and lunch) to have with some blueberries. Just popped the details into myfitnesspal and I am rather shocked at the calories the grapefruit have !

Going to have some salmon and veg for dinner tonight
This is my 4th fast. The first was the hardest- I ate breakfast and then was starving. The last 2 fasts I waited until lunch to eat. Today I'm going to hold off as long as possible.
I caved a little and had a square of fudge from reception, which has set my acid reflux off, I should know better by now!

Still, as this is an extra fast day, I'm not going to worry too much about it, and I will still be under 600 calories.
