Planning to have a small portion of meat sauce (that didn't quite fit in the lasagne I made yesterday) for tonight's meal with courgette 'spaghetti'.

A couple of friends turned up with cake and twix bars - and as much as I love cake and Twix, I resisted and stuck to my black coffee!
Tonight will probably be a test - Fridays in our house are 'start of the weekend' celebrations, and normally filled with copious amounts of wine, tortilla chips and hummus dip, chocolate, and anything else we can find in the fridge. My husband and son will be following that routine, so I'll just have to ignore them, knowing that I can eat that tomorrow!
I find it amazing that so many of us are (or were) so scared of being hungry. I guess hunger is something that we are taught from an early age to avoid. I can think of my parents (my mother in particular) who, when on holiday together, would spend half an hour or so just after breakfast, searching out the restaurant or cafe we were going to go to at lunchtime - as if, once we had our first hunger pangs, we would have to immediately eat something instead of wasting time searching frantically for a restaurant before we died of the tummy rumbles
Today's fast has been relatively easy - no brekkie for me now which I'm amazed at but am really fine. I have three mugs of tea with skimmed milk during the day 0800, 1600 and about 1830.
Lunch was two dark rye ryvita with a bit of philli light and a slice of pastrami (only 12 cals per slice) and a cup of AInsley Harriot soup (whichever one you have it's under 90 cals per sachet).
Tonight we're having grilled chicken with loads of savoy cabbage and french beans and maybe some carrot if the cals are going spare! I didn't lose last week so fingers crossed when I weight in first thing tomorrow morning.
Have a great Comic Relief night!
Family are over this weekend and the oven got fixed this afternoon so I imagine there will be plenty of cooked breakfasts and a Sunday Roast. My tummy has started rumbling just thinking about it.
Today's fast has gone ok so far. I didn't bother with breakfast and had a cottage cheese salad for lunch. I'm not planning to eat again until tomorrow unless a wave of unbearable hunger hits!
I did wonder if I had chosen the right day to fast as the people on the floor below had brought in cakes they had bought to sell to raise money for Red Nose day! I managed to stay strong - by not going into their office!
Total calories was exactly 500 today
