Fasting today actually despite thinking I wouldn't because of my cold. Woke up feeling a lot better (though still bunged up) so decided I couldn't really justify not fasting for a second time this week. Especially as we have a big eating day planned tomorrow!

Planning to have a small portion of meat sauce (that didn't quite fit in the lasagne I made yesterday) for tonight's meal with courgette 'spaghetti'.
Fasting today too, my second fast this week. I feel hungry, but I'm waiting for lunch to have a yogurt snack. Does anyone know if it's better to go long stretches in between eating or does it not matter?
Hope you feel a lot better soon Carorees. Fast going OK today and only two hours to supper. Hoped to paint a picture all day today but woke up with a sore eye and can't focus properly. Rested and hope its better tomorrow.
I'm on my third fast of the week (Mon, Weds, Fri). Lots of stomach rumbling today - I fast all day and then eat once in the evening.

A couple of friends turned up with cake and twix bars - and as much as I love cake and Twix, I resisted and stuck to my black coffee!

Tonight will probably be a test - Fridays in our house are 'start of the weekend' celebrations, and normally filled with copious amounts of wine, tortilla chips and hummus dip, chocolate, and anything else we can find in the fridge. My husband and son will be following that routine, so I'll just have to ignore them, knowing that I can eat that tomorrow!

I find it amazing that so many of us are (or were) so scared of being hungry. I guess hunger is something that we are taught from an early age to avoid. I can think of my parents (my mother in particular) who, when on holiday together, would spend half an hour or so just after breakfast, searching out the restaurant or cafe we were going to go to at lunchtime - as if, once we had our first hunger pangs, we would have to immediately eat something instead of wasting time searching frantically for a restaurant before we died of the tummy rumbles ;-)
Hi everyone. I'm on my second fast day of the week; #16. Usually Mon & Thurs but met up with old flatmates from my years working in London yesterday and hadn't seen either of them for donkey's ears, so lots of chat, lots of memories and some beer battered fish & a few chips but left some of both.

Today's fast has been relatively easy - no brekkie for me now which I'm amazed at but am really fine. I have three mugs of tea with skimmed milk during the day 0800, 1600 and about 1830.

Lunch was two dark rye ryvita with a bit of philli light and a slice of pastrami (only 12 cals per slice) and a cup of AInsley Harriot soup (whichever one you have it's under 90 cals per sachet).

Tonight we're having grilled chicken with loads of savoy cabbage and french beans and maybe some carrot if the cals are going spare! I didn't lose last week so fingers crossed when I weight in first thing tomorrow morning.

Have a great Comic Relief night!
Third fast of the week for me. I've already had a good week - a completely unexpected 2.5lb drop. I ate very well yesterday and I went up by only half a pound, so it wasn't just a fluke.

Family are over this weekend and the oven got fixed this afternoon so I imagine there will be plenty of cooked breakfasts and a Sunday Roast. My tummy has started rumbling just thinking about it.
Hallo fellow fasters, I seem to be doing ok fasting today though did have a few nuts first thing, don't usually eat anything but was ravenous. Been out at Peterborough Shire Horse Show, always a joy to see the big beasts in action, delicately dressaging or pulling lovely two-wheel carriages. Foul weather for them sadly, but there are 2 more days, do go if you're near by.
Hi everyone,

Today's fast has gone ok so far. I didn't bother with breakfast and had a cottage cheese salad for lunch. I'm not planning to eat again until tomorrow unless a wave of unbearable hunger hits!

I did wonder if I had chosen the right day to fast as the people on the floor below had brought in cakes they had bought to sell to raise money for Red Nose day! I managed to stay strong - by not going into their office!
Well today went well for me....dinner was salmon with soy sauce and I added half a piece of stemmed ginger, finely chopped. Had that with purple sprouting broccoli and asparagus and it was soooooo good.

Total calories was exactly 500 today
