Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.
I was 96kg a year ago, and got quite ill, my throat so sore I could not eat. I was in effect put on an involuntary fast for a few weeks, and I lost 10kg. Pleased with the result, I continued to eat much less, and by mid-summer was down to 78kg. Since then, my weight steadily crept up to 80kg.
It was such a revelation to see the program and realise the fasting the illness pulled me into was in fact a good thing. I will now take up the 5:2 diet with enthusiasm. My target is to get to about 72kg.
I found yesterday quite easy (2 boiled eggs and a plum for breakfast, Salmon fillet and cherry tomatoes for tea), I think my experience over the last year helped.
Chilli Soup and a prawn and chive HB omlette on the cards for today!
Initial Gym membership every day next week enthusiasm is kicking in!
Good luck to all and have a good fast today
I'd like to watch the 'Eat,Fast' Live' programme again - saw it on TV last year and would love to refresh my memory. Is it available on catch-up somewhere?
I don't have much weight to lose, so am wondering what happens when I get down to target. I don't want to become anorexic!

I feel most comfortable having a fast day on a Sunday - probably because I have most of my food treats on a Saturday so feel ok about not having much on Sunday.
YoyoJan - I think when you have reached your goal weight you could either go for 6:1 - that is just one fast day per week. Or eat a bit more on the fast days to get the health benefits not the weight loss. I think The Johnson calculator probably explains what calories to aim for in that position.
Baked hubby some double chocolate cookies and if there are any left I am going to have one tomorrow
