Fasting today? Sunday 7th April

Another fast day, on purpose this time, despite being below target weight by a few ounces. No plan to limit calories at dinnertime but looking for the interval between meals to provide all those lovely health benefits. Must get out on my bike in the sunshine!

Update: biked 14.6 miles in 58 minutes, ie just on the 15mph target I tend to set myself. Hard work but very pleased it went as well as it did (I use an old mountain bike but ride on the road) - just about matches my previous best time when I was a stone heavier before Xmas. Rewarded myself with 2 squares of Lindt 90% and a cup of tea. Not terribly hungry yet, dinner might be late, though!

I decided to fast today rather than tomorrow as I am due to give blood at 2pm tomorrow and didn't want to do that while empty! Also, I'm always fine after my fast day, so tomorrow will be like a normal day for me.
I'm loving this way of eating!
Wow. This thread is quiet. I'm fasting today. Going to try and keep busy. Maybe take my toddlers to the local farm.

Not quite as bright here today as it was yesterday but there is still time for things to improve.

Feel pretty hungry :starving: but I haven't had many drinks yet so I expect that will improve.

Planning to weigh myself later so hope I will be pleased with the results.

Usually fast Monday and Thursday but going away for work tomorrow and will have hotel food to look forward to, so thought it best to fast today. I find it easier to fast when I'm at work so will have to keep myself busy today - shouldn't be a problem....I've got a massive pile of ironing to get through!!
Loving that I can be so flexible with my fast days. On week 6 now and it does get easier each time.

I'm fasting today. Had grapefruit and Rice Krispies for breakfast (no milk, I'm lactose-intolerant and I like my cereal dry and crispy!) for 115 calories. Looking forward to a prawn curry with a mini Peshwari naan for lunch, which will leave me about 150 cals for supper.
I'm fasting today and it's gonna be a long haul. I had the dreaded insomnia last night :/ I don't think it was the first night of the fast that did it, but the affects of a stressful day that couldn't be 'cured' in the night with comfort eating. Oh well :) Tomorrow I can eat :)
Me too! I like fasting on Sundays! Avoiding the 'Sunday Roast' and all the trimmings kicks the week off to a flying start....

I've changed to today as opposed to tomorrow(Mon) as well this week, as i am away tonight as off to Liverpool on a girly shopping day tomorrow so cannot shop on an empty stomach!!!! Done a 1 hour step class this morning, washed the car, hoovered am about to do some ironing, all to keep busy my mind off food. Looking forward to a nice chicken salad for tea (had boiled eggs for brekky, & 4 wholewheat crackers with some tuna/mayo on for lunch). 6 weeks in and looking good.
I'm fasting today after an epic fail on Thursday's fast day... it's particularly difficult today because I took 'feasting' to a whole new level yesterday and as a result I'm hungry today and hankering after more sugar :doh: it's this time of day that I struggle to get through but coming on here makes me sort of accountable to others which gives me a bit of extra strength. Roll on tea-time :starving:
Hi All. Have just joined this site. Think it will be great way to encourage me! I have started the fast diet this week. Attempted my first fast day on Thursday, which I really struggled with.


Today is my second fast day and I am feeling fine. I had breakfast on the first day, which I think just made me more hungry. I think I will just eat dinner today. Does it just depend on the person what works best??

Me too! have had a small piece of fruit and will be having my meal in an hour or so.

Hope you feel less hungry now.
