Well, today is my first fast. Made myself some chicken and veg Japanese broth (210 cal) for lunch (I can skip breakfast much more easily) and have some minestrone with a bit of leftover chicken in the fridge for dinner (about 210 cal too). On my feed days I stick to around 1600 calories (I'm short but not terribly active yet).

Good luck today everyone!
Good luck mresta!
Today is my second fast day.... And my feelings are mixed so far...
I didn't find the first one too bad. Managed to get through 'til six in the evening with just drinks...then had soup for dinner.... Then had a little pig out on some marzipan! So I guess you could say that was a fail! But I think it was not too bad for a first attempt.

And on the other hand I am finding it rather liberating... Not having to think about what I'm going to eat today...because mostly... I'm not!!!
I really do feel like i'm doing my body a favour!

But we'll see how it goes today...I'm not entirely sure yet (at 8 in the morning) how strong I'm feeling....

Oh and I'm going to try and do 4:3 this week because I looked at schedule for next week and it's going to be really hard to fit more than one fast day in!
Good morning all. Well after my dilemma last night (thank you all for your lovely replies), I have decided to fast today. The plan is to drink only water and green tea until I meet my friend at Pizza Express this evening, and I will eat a Leggera pizza (thin base with a hole in the middle filled with salad that is 500 cal!)

That's the plan! If it goes differently, I will fast tomorrow instead!
I'm fasting today, usually fast mon/thurs but am off to my mums this afternoon so seems better to fast today and enjoy the break away! No food until dinner when I'll have a small portion of whatever mums cooking! Been fasting thirteen weeks now and all going quite well, 16lbs down, but plenty more to go! Well wishes to all those fasting today
I'm in my third week. One of my first posts here was about how painful last Wednesday's fast was. Today's was going better, but then 4:30pm my tummy was rumbling. I'm having some miso soup (31cal). I have too much work to get done today. I can't afford to not be able to concentrate! (I normally divide the fast between breakfast and dinner, trying to leave as long as possible between the two).
I'm fasting today. Didn't manage to have my usual breakfast this morning and had something with less protein. Will be interesting to see how it goes!
Me too.

My planning is poor this week. Ended up at the chippie last night. However have a work thing & Crossfit class to do so better get on.
Thanks for all your responses guys!

I've gone into it with a battle plan (it's the project manager in me!). I've brought a toothbrush and toothpaste with me to work as I'm less inclined to eat after I've brushed my teeth. I've brought in my favourite green tea and planned out my meals and social situations for the week.

I'm also keeping a small notebook to jot down physical feelings and emotion throughout the day - analysing it helps me to see it as an experiment on myself and makes me adhere to it.

Sunday is my next one, I'll be meeting a friend for a coffee in the morning before we go to the theatre in the afternoon (so I'll definitely be distracted!). I know the menus of the local cafes, so know exactly what I'll have for lunch (EAT's Shitake, Miso & Udon Ramen Soup is AWESOME and only 250 cal!). Watch the performance, head home and have a light dinner then prepare lunch for me and the husband (bad idea to cook a higher calorie lunch while hungry!).
Good Morning

Its week 4 of this for me & fast number 8 although I'm not sure I'm doing it right as I lose weight during the week & then after the weekend it all seems to have gone back on even though I'm eating under my TDEE :?: but I shall persevere for a few more weeks :frown:

Hope everyone has a good day :like:
Ooh, keeping a diary, what a good idea. I think I might try that :like: I'm having an emergency fast today as I had a terrible eating day yesterday. My appetite was insatiable and I just surrendered to it :curse: so today is a sort of reset day which should be quite easy as I'm feeling quite nauseous and kind of still full from yesterdays' debacle!!

have a great fast day :clover:
Hi all

I'm in too today but not at work & always find it harder to fast when I'm at home.So fingers crossed :clover:
Yep. Today I am trying a full day without eating anything. I have done this a few times now and it gives you a boost of confidence.

I'll drink herbal teas and fruit juice, if I get a bit light headed I'll have a smoothie.

Good luck everyone.
Good Morning fast #17 for me and my second one this week, I have been doing 4:3 for the past month or so this week will be 5:2 I love the flexibility of this plan.
Today was fast day for me too. Today I did it differently and I found out why people find the fast hard. I skipped my usual huge veggie soup for breakfast and spent the day craving food. So from now on it's back to veggie soup and 400 cal dinner - then I find it easy to do. Work clothes loose as, so it seems to be working.
Good grief I'm finding it difficult today! Have already eaten 250 calories in the form of a ham sandwich (probably not the wisest choice?) and am ravenous!!!
Was planning on making through to dinner but looks like thats out of the window! Just gonna drink more herbal tea, a bouillon drink and try to keep focused!
A book I was waiting for has just been delivered so maybe that will keep my mind distracted? Hope everyone else is feeling good?
