Fasting today Sunday April 21st
20 Apr 2013, 22:52
Am I the only mad one fasting on a Sunday or are there others out there like me who feel like a stuffed pig from eating too much rubbish Friday/Sat? Funny really the cycles I have gone through. Firstly it was can't eat so much on feed day eg stuff a whole Easter egg in and feel ill, followed by I know how I can eat all that sweet stuff....just have a cappuccino at 10am and the cake @ 11am so I can stuff in the sweet stuff and NOT feel bloated....sneaky thing I am  The latest emotion is, well I CAN eat that so let's do it...meaning where I didn't have bread/rice/cakes/icecream etc in the house it's now....maybe I should buy that stuff as I can have it on feed days. Lordy I had better get a better phase coming through...I can feel I'm on the edge of that phase...like I CAN eat that stuff, but mostly it's rubbish that won't help me be healthy so let's leave it for rare occassions....hmm let's see. On top of that I had beer and chips (fries) Friday night as the place I went to had cr*p wine and no vego food...and I thought...yes u guessed it...I can have whatever I want LOL..but I don't WANT chips, but they were there and I thought I CAN have those.

I am pleased to say I am fasting today :like: as it is my 'extra' fast I will experiment. and since it is Sunday and I don't have to get up @ 5am, I'll have 'souper' when I am hungry rather than before I rush out the door in the dark....then I will have dinner less than 12 hours later or I'll be eating in bed

Here's to healthy eating and thinking
I'm not fasting today, but I did fast last Sunday for pretty much the same reason - I'd overeaten on Saturday evening, and woke up feeling crap from it. I then fasted Tues and Thurs, making it a 4:3 week, but it didn't feel excessive. I wouldn't 4:3 every week, but it worked really well. Enjoy your extra fast day today :)
It's still Saturday here in CA. We were supposed to fast today....but hubby had a training class....and ate out.....so we will be fasting Sunday instead. I like the flexibility of having Saturday and Sunday as floaters. We normally fast Mon/Wed...but will switch to Tues/Thurs for this week.
I still can't get over that I an reducing my calorie intake because I want to rather than have to! It is a first for me. I will keep your idea in mind KataMac and fit in that extra fast when needbe.
Standard Sunday fast for me, but in maintenance mode so this just means waiting till lunchtime to eat, then being sensible. Currently hungry!

Update: Watched London Marathon winners, inspired to do 58 mins/14.6 miles on bike in horrid wind then a bowl of mushroom soup, two squares of Lindt and a kiwi to redress the balance at 14:00 - no longer hungry!
I like maintenance fast days...
I'm in today.... swapped it for Monday after a fast became a feast, somehow! I've got a reduced fat gammon steak with a sort of broccoli and cauliflower cheese for tea to look forward to and a busy day so I think it's gonna be a breeze today *touches wood*
I always have at least one weekend fast day, and this weekend, it is Sunday. I had a 10K run yesterday, so my body might not be so happy with fasting, but so far so good. I managed to wait until noon to eat anything at all...
I am on 4th fast today as want to do 4:3 and couldn't face fasting mon weds and fri so doing sun tue thurs! Just had a coffee and have a chicken and risotto ready meal from m and s with extra veg for tea. Going to try and just have water all day as walking the dogs then taking my little sister horse riding so quite busy! I am desperate to start horse riding lessons too but limit is 13.5 stone only 3.5 stone to go!!!
First fast for me today ( eeeek). Have everything planned out so hoping I can stick to it. So far so good, however it's 9am and starting to feel hungry. Will eat breakfast soon!
Well my day is nearly over and I'm stuffed....with veg! And still have 200-250 cals left. Will have an 8 cal hot choc and hope I'm still full when bedtime comes. Enjoy the rest of the fast
Hi,

I am fasting today too - I normally do. Its good to have a rest after Saturday's (relative) excess!

Hope it goes well for everyone.
I'm fasting today, although I have a bit of a cold. I really feel the need to fast after 4 days over TDEE due to various work celebrations and visiting friends. My last weigh in on Wednesday was excellent so just hoping I haven't ruined it all. I'm starving and every now and then images of hot buttered toast appear. However I'm determined to see it through and will fast Tuesday and Thursday too, hopefully that will sort me out.
After only 1 fast day last week and none this week yet due to visitors I'm glad to be fasting today.
I weighed myself this morning which was probably a mistake, but I'm not going to dwell on the numbers!!
Looking forward to getting back to a normal fasting routine.
Planning on having fish cakes for dinner with some veggies. Looking forward to it already.
Good luck fellow Sunday fasters.
Fasting today too. My fast days are Mon/Wed but after spending a nice long weekend in Wash DC and having to take the long train ride back to NY it seems reasonable for me and my hubby to do it today instead of tomorrow
I'm doing ok so far. Changed my eating plan to include more protein so I had egg for breakfast and I'm just sitting down to soup and a peppermint tea! Never had peppermint tea before, it smells nice enough. I have a mandarin for desert too!
