36 hr liquid fast Wed 8 May
07 May 2013, 19:39
Hi All, whos on Wildmississ' wild ride today?

Its 0730 here in NZ

This will be my 4th 36er. Did 2 successful ones, and then on the 3rd gave in to hunger at 24 hrs in and ate a 400 cal dinner.
Started at 8 pm last night, after a BIG shepherds pie(its hard to get the shepherds for that in NZ)
I do allow myself a splash of milk in 2 coffees over the day.

Hoping that posting here will help me keep on track.

Thinking of all. :clover:

Hope everything goes ok for you today. I'm just finishing Tuesdays 36 fast after a rather indulgent long weekend. I am quite relaxed and flexible about doing 36. So if I had a 400 cal meal I wouldn't be disappointed. I don't take milk in my tea anyway but if I did I'd still take it on a 36 fast day as I wouldn't want to drink something I didn't like. For me giving my body a rest from eating has got to be a good thing.

I ate my dinner about an hour ago and that's it for me until at least 8am Thursday. I did a 36 hour fast last Wednesday too and it was ok, but not wonderful. I am hoping this one is easier. Good luck to everyone doing a fast tomorrow :)

I'm joining you all, my fast days are all off this week with bank holiday so last fasted on Sunday. My weight seems all over the show this week and has shot up in an alarming fashion, must be time of the month looming but feel like I need take control as I've been having the munchies too. Think tomorrow will be a good day to fast as I have no meals to sort for the family and long day at work so will be kept busy. Might even add a half fast on Friday to try and balance things up a bit! Much preferring the 36hr fast as suits me better, saves money and takes less effort! Hoping next week I can restore some order to my weight loss and over indulgences! Happy fasting all

I'm thinking of joining you tomorrow, like mariposa my Fast days have been messed up by the Bank Holiday and other commitments. I'll see how tomorrow goes and if I can't manage it, then I'll try for a 2nd Fast on Thursday to get me back on track :clover:

As your day is ending, mine is starting :) I guess technically I'm already 12 hours in, so only (!) 24 hours to go :)

I think I'll start with a nice cup of tea...

21 hours down... so only 15 hours left until I can eat!!

Not feeling too peckish so I think I'll get through this!

The main challenge is going to be cooking tomorrow's lunch and not picking at it!

How is everyone else doing?

Is it a form of torture for your child to ask for homemade scones while your on your 36r?! However I have resisted, baked the scones and gave him one then took him out to play basketball while they cooled,,they are now safely in the box and out of my smell and sight zone! Only had black coffee and water today and feeling grand! Weird after last Monday's being harder and giving in to the 500 cal in 36hrs. How interesting are our journeys, each day an adventure! Happy darting to you all.

Well it's 7.45 and no problem here so far! Partner is just cooking his dinner but I'm not really even peckish! Looking forward to waking up having completed both my fasts this week! Early night tonight as my baby boy has decided 5am is the time to start the day! Looks like we are a very exclusive club today, hope everyone goes well this evening. Definitely impressed by the scone resisting, I can cook on a fast day but any sort of baking would be torture!

Today had a good day, not feeling hungry at all , kept busy all day and did lots of housework. Baked a cake this morning and was not even tempted to lick the spoon, which is a big achievement for me :) looking forward to have a piece tomorrow. Well done everyone fasting today.

I tried, but by 5.30 PM with the prospect of my family sitting down to eat dinner I knew I had to have food.
I think if I had a Fast day alone with no meal to prepare for the family I might be able to stick to liquid only, but not today.
Having said that today was a successful Fast, just not a liquid only one.
Well done to you all :like:
