3rd fast today. Was looking forward to it after an overindulgent long weekend and belly like a balloon from IBS.

Had just a boiled egg and a cuppa so far today. Feel no more hungry than usual, and nice and alert.

Miracle noodles for lunch, raspberries and celery to snack, and a nice lemon sole for dinner.

I certainly don't feel deprived!
I'm in :like:

Feeling hungry already. :starving: I think Aunt Flow is due. It's always harder to fast when your period is due, right ladies?
Am over three months into this now and am fasting today - had a black coffee so far and am struggling to be honest . Will keep going though as have lost well over a stone now ! Give me some positive thoughts people !

Well done! I'm so jealous that you've lost a stone. Just goes to show that it works :) Keep up the good work. I hope I've lost that much two months from now! (Got my 4th weigh in tomorrow)
I'm fasting today, my usual day. I did find myself weirdly almost looking forward to it last night - I think my body and mind are together coming to the conclusion that it is good to have a day's "break" from time to time from constantly metabolising food. I am also pleased and proud that last week I got through a couple of days that should have been "difficult" in that they were either high stress or occasions where wine and nibbles were served but I stuck to water without getting too cranky about it, or giving into temptation "just this once". In fact, I really didn't find myself too tempted at all. My clothes are feeling a little looser - let's see if tomorrow's weigh-in shows any difference!
Struggling a bit today but unsurprising as I've been a bit slack on fasting and exercise recently. No fast last week and only one day exercise, one the week before and looks like this will be my only one this week with only 1 day exercise.

Thankfully my weight seems to have remained constant so far and hoping today will at least maintain things for now. I have another couple of busy weeks but if I can keep my hand in as it were I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to get back into it when I can.

Pleased I've made it to lunch OK though and homemade minestrone will hopefully see me through til dinner tonight.
Thanks for that BethP! I have consumed another black coffee and about a litre of water - has seemed to do the trick and am back feeling positive ! Keep going yourself, it definitely works albeit slow and steady weight loss. But that is the best kind !! Keep going everyone, IT WORKS !!
Forgot to say BethP that I noticed your weight loss weeks 1 through to 3 and can see that you lost a lot in week one but then not in weeks 2 and 3 . I have found that during this 'way of life' as I like to call it you do feel sometimes as though you won't keep losing weight but you really do. The key is to accept it's a long term thing and that if you keep going you will definitely lose weight over a few months. I plotted my weight loss in a spreadsheet a few weeks ago and now keep it updated three times a week on the scales. I usually fast on Tuesdays and Thursdays and so weigh myself Wed and Friday mornings and also on a Monday morning. I only weighed myself randomly until a couple of weeks ago but now am going to stick to my new weighing regime. I did have enough info to get a good graph though and to actually see the line going steadily but surely down over time is a huge motivating help so I really recommend doing this . Keep going it really really does work, even when every now and then you see a pound or two go back on, over time the weight does come off.

Good luck.
Yeah. You also burn more fat than muscle when fasting, which also may explain the slow-ish weight loss.
Hi all
Thanks all who have posted above as I'm fasting today but have been struggling recently but your words above have helped today.
I've been feeling 'fat & frumpy' and cancelling exercise sessions which just adds to that downward spiral so today is about getting back to fasting and looking forward not backwards :0)
I'm also trying to reduce my use of 'should' as boy am I good at beating myself up with plenty of negative talk!!
So positive vibes for us all fasting today and thanks for being there.
Amanda
Hello fellow Tuesdayers.

I did myself proud had a meeting today which included a buffet, I calmly walked away taking nothing but a bottle of pure orange which I'll have tomorrow :D I'm just feeling really sleepy.
Hey guys
It should be my 9th fast today but I had a bonus 1 at weekend (I literally didnt feel hungry so never ate!) so this is now my 10th fast.
Yesterday was the 1st day in a while where I was over my tdee thanks to lots of snacking at the pub last night so glad to get the fast in and repair last nights damage!
Amanda, Don't beat yourself up, we all go through phases like you are going through,I hope you are having a good fast and feeling more positive by now :clover:
On a completely different note I have made myself a Veggie chilli for my fast day dinner. I started with an onion, galic, red pepper and chilli, then added a tin of mixed bean salad, passata, courgette, mushrooms, leek, celery, and baby corn. And finally a 300g pack of Quorn pieces, and spices. The whole enormous pot is under 900cals and will easily make 3 portions.
I can't wait
Well not as bad as I thought .... 2 hours to go 'til dinner - and I've made it with a cup of Bovril, some carrots and strawberries .... it never is as bad as I think - I should remember that .....!! It looks like I may have to be weighed tomorrow instead of next week as planned so will keep you posted in delighted or disappointed.... it may have to be a 43 day experiment instead of 50!!
