I can see there are others already reporting their fasts today but we have not got a proper title, so here it is. Please feel free to add your comments here or elsewhere! I am doing a maintenanance fast again, i.e. nothing to eat until after 12:00 and some exercise before then...
Yes I am fasting today only being half a world away my dinner prep starts in about an hour and I should be eating at about 1830-1900 hours (so in about 1.5-2hours).

Today has been very cold and I am glad that I started this way of life during summer when it is easy to eat salads etc for dinner. Now I am still planning a (hot) chicken and vege salad methinks I shall have a cup of hot broth before bed to warm me up. Perhaps an extra wooly blanket and warm p.j's to make it through the night.

Good luck fasters.

eta: I have been really, really, really hungry today. So far managed to have one black coffee and lots of water. Dinner can't come soon enough - I am doing my best to hold off.
Yep me too - Full fast for me. This will be my 7th week (13th fast) and for some reason (which hasn't happened for a while) I am dreading it! Not sure why as all prepared as usual. I have a busy day - (but no exercise today)....so that should help.... I still haven't weighed myself since starting this WOE as waiting until next week (my 50 day experiment) and maybe that is why ....if I saw movement on the scales it might help with motivation but I am so scared that I won't (I find it so hard to shift any pounds!) ....rambling a bit now I know but any support or words of encouragement greatly received...
Beckle, I am just wondering if you have noticed that your clothes are starting to fit better/become a bit loose? Energy increase? Appetite changes e.g. not snacking on or craving danger foods e.g. sweets or making healthier food choices generally speaking? These are some issues that you may find changing that don't involve stepping on the scales. My no means is this list the be all and end all but it is a starting point to see what - if anything is happening for you.

I appreciate that you are doing a 50 day experiment and I wish you well with your results.

I don't know if you have a history of slow weight loss or any medical conditions that you are stuggling with. I have a medical condition that can affect weight loss and I told myself to give this way of life six months to see how I go. So depending on your situation you may consider a longer trial. Naturally as we are all different YMMV.

Good luck with your weigh in and please keep us posted with your results.
Beckle: Always happy to encourage! Amazed how brave you are to wait 50 days to check progress - I weighed myself every time I had no clothes on! Do you feel better for 5:2, that is the main question - I know I did almost immediately and the weight loss was almost a side effect...
Good Morning Fasters
I'm in too, just black coffee so far for me.I need this today after a weekend of uninhibited eating and drinking.
I'm about to go out for a run, so we'll see how the rest of the day goes. Good Luck to everyone
Hiya everyone - yes clothes seem to fit a bit better - but my weight has fluctuated in the past so much it is hard to tell. Was feeling wonderful on this WOE but not today for some reason (probably just a blip so need to bear that in mind) Brave for not weighing? I think it is the coward in me - not wanting to know .... as I will be SO disappointed if this (too) doesn't seem to work for me .... No medical conditions (apart from being from stocky Welsh stock!)Healthier food choices? I eat quite healthily when not fasting ...apart from the odd bit of chocolate and I have really cut back on alcohol (apart from last weekend - too much socialising!).... Thanks for the support guys - it's good to talk! x
I'm here today, fast number 6 for me. Things have been interesting for me as our family (hubby & 2 kids) started a 12 week road trip around Australia last week, but the in car snacking has surprisingly not been hard at all. Today I had 2 white coffees and then we stopped for afternoon tea after pulling into Coober Pedy (for the Aussies here) and ordered drinks & pizza, I had an iced coffee with cream & ice cream so am calling that dinner and now won't eat til morning. Must just resist the toasting of marshmallows on the open fire!!
I'm fasting again today. This will be the last time for a week as we are going away for a few days, so I'm determined to make a good go of it today.
I did my 5th fast today and with it being foggy and a high of 10 degrees, not good for keeping warm. Kept up the hot drinks (mostly hot water) and went for a walk at lunch time all rugged up! I ate a small bowl of rolled oats cooked in water and spoon of yoghurt to help it go down for breakfast, no lunch and a steamed vege and beef schnitzel stir fry for dinner tonight. Don't feel too bad either so hope all other fasters today are doing well too.
I find it really supportive reading the posts.
Next fast day is Thursday! Bring it on!
Well I fasted too but the day is almost over for me - it's foggy here Susiewong but just in my head ;>) Woke too early, but I am always dazed and confused on fast day. Didn't get hungry till 4.30, but was ravenous so ate then. Bed not far away and I'll be dreaming of bfst
Hello fellow fasters (:

I was up at 8am today doing my 30 Day Shred workout. Thought that if I could get up and do it in the mornings it would make me awake for revision, so far so good...

Only exercise I haven't been scared of doing while fasting as it's only short. Although intense! My body is aching all over from the combined Taekwondo and Shred but fingers crossed the scales will have shifted tomorrow.

Trying the Keralan prawn recipe for dinner tonight (http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1145638/) so very excited! Sounds tasty and low-cal.

Feeling positive but very cold!
I'm fasting today too and I really don't feel like it. My usual days are Sunday and Wednesday, but I've had to switch it to Tuesday this week. I am feeling really tired and weak. My Sunday fast was hard work as well so I think it's just one of those weeks. Maybe I'm coming down with a cold or something. I've had milk in my coffee which I normally don't do on a fast day but I've decided it's a small comfort on a blah day.

I still haven't been able to give up milk in my tea. Got rid of the sugar though! I don't think it makes that much of a difference (: According to MyFitnessPal it's only 15cal.
Me too! Usually fast Mondays and Thursdays, but went out to dinner last night. Glad to be fasting today as I went away this weekend and overdid it rather (strangely, didn't enjoy it that much). Today I've done a 30 Day Shred (day 6) and am at work with water, teas and coffees, then shall be making this 250-cal sausage casserole for supper:

Good luck everyone!
