Fasting today?

Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

Maybe it's something that happens after a few weeks. There are some other posts on here regarding 8 week dips. Don't be hard on yourself, you are doing really well :like:

Thanks! This is my 5th week excluding last week. I am feeling ok. I have been really tired all well think I'm missing the afternoon siestas from last week!

If you're genuinely not feeling well, don't continue. If you can carry on, just think how pleased you'll be if you can say at the end of it that you toughed it out. I'm coming to the conclusion that the old saying is true: nothing succeeds like success.

Thanks for that motivation its really helped!
Since you are fasting when you are at work, do make sure that you carry an extra snack with you. It's better to have something healthy of your choice than a full fat hot choc or a sandwich!

My pleasure, Claire.

So far, I've found 5:2 to be an absolute doddle, but I have the feeling that I'll need to lean on others here for support one day. I know it won't always be this easy.

By the way, this is my first time quoting someone and the preview doesn't look like much of a preview. I hope this doesn't look weird once I post it.

We get fruit provided at work but for some reason I didn't fancy an apple or anything

Well, I have made it through the day and will shortly be having my ready meal with extra veggies and a homemade Yorkshire pud (400 cals).

I am proud I made it through and looking forward to a croissant and coffee in the morning!
It seems that when I am fasting my stomach gets very weird and stubborn. If yours is like that, it might not want an apple but it might was a muesli bar, a rice cake, a few carrot and cucumber sticks. See what you might need and drop them in your handbag, just in case another day like today appears (although I'm sure it won't).
Enjoy your dinner, it sounds goooood!!!
Thanks, I am normally quite organised and take some carrot sticks or something but we haven't really done a proper shop since coming back from holiday!!
Yeah, I know the there-is-so-much-laundry-that-I-can't-do-anything-else feeling, LOL!
Ha ha hubby did the laundry so I don't have that excuse!!

I think it may have just all been psychological today, surely my stomach cannot know what days I fast??!!
It knows if after a certain time you don't feed it or if it asks for food on a random time and you don't provide it.
