Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

OMG I am staring at people eating!

I decided to fast mon, weds and fri today as I didn't fast last week as was on hols. I normally fast mon and thurs. so Mondays fast was so much easier than I thought. But today I am so hungry I have a headache and feel a little light headed what is going on?

There is an egg mayo sandwich sitting in the vendor calling me and I'm thinking shall I just have it? Then fast tomorrow as normal!!!!
Stick with it - you know that you'll be able to have the sandwich tomorrow
Have you a options hot choccy to keep you going??

No I haven't! They have hot choc on the vending machine but its not low fat. I truly don't think I can do it today....I feel awful
Yep - i'm with Izzy - if you're really feeling rough, have something to eat, a nice dinner tonight and start again tomorrow

I just had my planned tracker cereal bar and I keep drinking if I still feel like this in half an hour going to get the cob....
Hmm - for me, if I had a headache and I knew that I could manage 5:2 (which you obviously can) then I'd consider having a relationship with that egg mayo sarnie. If (and I know that that's a big if as it might set off the inevitable hunger switch) that was all you ate today - you'd be well under your 500 cals. Bit of a dilemma me thinks - we'll watch the thread and see what you decide :clover:
take a couple of paracetamol if you have them - at least if you can get rid of the headache, you might not feel quite so icky! :clover:

I had a headache wen I got up so I'm not certain it's a fast headache anyway took some paracetamol at 10am and it did nothing but will take some more now
Hubby just text to say he is feeling the same but is going to stick with it he said I'm over halfway through and to keep going!
Don't be hard on yourself - if you're really feeling rotten,have the sandwich & fast tomorrow. It's amazing how much our bodies like routine - it's probably got use to fasting Monday & Thursday & that might be why it's so hard today.
Or you could do 1/2 fast today as carorees says our bodies do seem to like us changing our daily calorie count.
I do extra 1/2 fast every week - fast at work & eat normally in the evening just cos I got into the routine of fasting at work & I work 3 days.
Remember there is no failures with this WOE - we are in charge & can move things around whenever we want :smile:
Yes, you're over half way, but if you're feeling too rough, I would say go for it and fast another day.

I had a hot choc out the machine and some paracetamol and feel a little better. Only 3 hours till home time then I can walk my dogs and tuck into my chicken roast ready meal!

If you're genuinely not feeling well, don't continue. If you can carry on, just think how pleased you'll be if you can say at the end of it that you toughed it out. I'm coming to the conclusion that the old saying is true: nothing succeeds like success.
If I were you, I'd stick to the 2 week days as normal, missing a day or week won't really matter over the period of a week. However your body won't like the fact you are making it fast 3 times in the same week. I missed a whole week of fasting last week and my weight stayed the same, this week i've already lost a pound. Importantly I agree with OwnedByCats, if you don't feel great and you usually are ok on fast days, there is something else afoot!
Claire, I don't know if you saw my post on Monday. For the first time, I found it tough going and I know we started around the same time. Maybe it's something that happens after a few weeks. There are some other posts on here regarding 8 week dips. Don't be hard on yourself, you are doing really well :like: :smile:
