Fasting today Saturday 25 May
25 May 2013, 02:58
I seem to be fasting by accident today. I had a bit too much wine and rich food yesterday and felt a bit bleugh this morning so skipped brekkie before heading off to the gym. It is now lunchtime and I am really not hungry so think I will do an extra fast this week (I do Monday and Thursday most weeks) and do a 4:3. Happy Saturday fasting everyone.
I'm not fasting today but I saw that you had no replies (weekends aren't very popular are they?)and I just wanted to say "well done on your decision and good luck. :-)
All the best for your fast today pilchards, I did 2 big fasts mon thurs so feel my body needs to be fed and have a break, but power to you
Hmm it is a bit lonely on this thread. Thanks for the support girls 5 o'clock and doing fine! Perhaps some of the Northern hemispherites will join me soon.....
Pilchards u deserve a medal :>) I have been walking on Dangar Island, coffee, almond biscuit, choc, now making eggplant & pesto pizza now with a glass of red in hand - I'll fast tomorrow as I will feel bleugh (how do u spell that ;>) with all those carb cals today. Well done to you
Fasting today, here in London!

Why do I always feel at my hungriest when I wake up on a fast day? Can it be psychological?

On the days when I know I can eat normally, I don't even want breakfast!
I'm in.
Was out for lunch and had dinner out with friends so I am feeling rather full still and just a teenSy bit hungover, so I'm very happy to fast today.
Bring it on!
Good luck to all you Saturday fasters.
I'm in too, very rare for me to do a Sat, but didn't loose at my weigh in this week, so thought I'd have a boost, and drank a little too much vino too last night, so It'll do me good. I'm catering all week-end for clients too, but I will so look forward to Sunday late afternoon Bbq, when all my guests are fed and it's my turn . Tonight I'll try and have something yummy for within my 500 cals, so I don't feel I'm missing out to much on my Saturday night. Good luck, just think how smug we'll feel tomorrow morning :) x
I'm also fasting I work saturday though so it is more like a week day for me. Going ok so far.
Hello fellow Saturday fasters.
My OH & I are joining you today because we were travelling back from Bath yesterday after staying for four days. We did all the usual things of visiting The Roman Baths, The Jane Austin Centre, The Assembly Rooms & went on the tour bus rides around the town & the skyline tour & a boat ride up the Avon. All very enjoyable but new for us & highly recommended was our visit to the Spa, swimming in the hot spring waters & going in the one on the roof that was quite surreal looking over to the Abbey roof. We also ate too many cream teas, Italian meals & wine although we walked everywhere. So our weigh ins tomorrow will be a shock which is why we are giving our bodies a well needed rest & we will break our fast with M&S fuller longer meals in a couple of hours time. I hope your fasts have gone well it is nice to be back in a fasting routine again
Hi Pilchards,

Like you I seem to be fasting today by default. I hadn't planned it either but I'm now well into it and still not hungry so this may be the perfect opportunity for me to go for a 48 hour one. I've always wanted to do this just to see how I cope and how I feel, 36 hours was easier than I would ever have believed imaginable. 48 hours is Not as drastic as it sounds as I ate yesterday at lunchtime and I will have lunch tomorrow so, only today without food, it won't kill me, I hope!

Good luck for the rest of the day, I will pop back later to see how you are getting on, :clover: :starving: :clover:

Ballerina x
Nearly bedtime for me, and I've done it :) Cooking all day in preparation for guests tomorrow, but not a snifter past my lips until supper at 7, then a healthy chicken stir fry - So that's my first 4:3 trying to undo a full on fest last week-end. :) Looking forward to tomorrow, when my diners have gone and I can sit down, feet up on the terrace in the sunshine x
