I'm having a 'low' day rather than a full-on fast. Did 2 fasts monday & weds and it just feels like too long to go from weds to mon eating normally and not gaining it back. So I've not had breakfast and will try and have a small lunch and dinner. Not currently hungry so that's good! I have a choir practise on Friday evenings and my husband doesn't get home from working away til about 9pm so friday's actually relatively easy to fast. I think it's that 'giving yourself permission to give in' thing - I've already done two fasts this week, but I just want to go into the weekend feeling relaxed about enjoying meals out etc.
I'm in - 2nd fast of 2 this week. I like a Friday fast too - feels more comfortable than Thursday bizarrely! I am doing liquids only today, peppermint tea, gallons of water and then I need something very quick and easy for dinner. Can't thing what to do at this juncture!
I'm also in today. It is weigh in tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed for good news.
I've been looking forward to my fast and have planned out my meal for the evening. Went for a walk after taking the children to school so feeling good at the moment.
Change of plan, I bought new carrots, a mini watermelon and some radishes so tonight, plenty of goodies with homemade light houmous, tuna pancake xith oat and a nice glasse of wine...

I found the third fast to be the eaiest one, which is a great surprise
Fasting today too! Friday is not my normal day but its going okay. Just been baking brioche bread for the kids which smelt divine but will savour my slice tmw!
Have a great day everyone!
Both of us in this house are today doing our second fast for 5:2. I had a boiled egg and half a grapefruit after early morning gym session, taught 2 piano lessons, enjoying browsing our forum now, going to do some potting in the greenhouse, 2 more students to teach later afternoon, loads of water and teas..... then tonight we will thoroughly enjoy the Lightweight Cottage Pie (fat diet cookbook) which was in the freezer. The sun is shining - so pleased on every fast day that it is our established way of life - what a joy to feel energised.
Struggling a bit today with fast - feel really cold and one of my team has their birthday so there is huge tin of home made rocky road (my favourite!) and boxes of cadbury's fingers and sweeties - its killing me! keep telling myself if I have made it this far through the day without caving in, then I can keep ignoring all the cakies for another 2 hours until I finish. I don't need the cakes... I don't need the cakes.... lol!!
I'm fasting too, although I'm not well. I'm probably coming down with a cold (IN JUNE!!! EEEEEK!!!) and I feel a bit yuk and a bit cold and tired.
Lunch was soup with zero noodles and spinach (90 calories). I'll probably take a nap and hope that I'll feel better and not worse later on. :-(
My OH is also fasting today & due home from work soon so we will both be pleased with an early supper around 6-00pm. We will be eating an M&S Fuller longer spaghetti & meatballs then we will be going out to see the new Superman film, so 3D glasses at the ready not easy over my glasses!
I hope you have all had a good day & you are feeling better TML13.
Well sort of! planned to fast today but woke up really hungry so decided to give it a miss and ate a decent breakfast after all. To my surprise I haven't been hungry all day and with a carefully planned meal and the help of some Zero noodles I'm going to make it anyway despite the dodgy start... I've only been going a couple of weeks and already my appetite has completely changed.
Thank you, Isis. I canny decide whether I'm hot or cold, basically sweating like a pig (that will put some of you off dinner, you'll thank me tomorrow).
I just had my dinner, aubergine, courgette and pepper stew with lots of tomato paste and garlic. One of my summer favourites!
Your dinner sounds delicious TML13 and the garlic should help see off the bug - hope you're better soon.

I've just noticed from my food-log that this is the first week since starting 4:3-ing that I *should* (i.e. theoretically given my calorie deficit) have lost a whole one pound in weight! Fingers crossed that the scales agree tomorrow morning (they were unkind last week) and that I resist the temptation to eat a square of chocolate before bed-time (the chocolate is calling me as it's diet friendly 85%, but still calories)...
Bed time after my 7th fast - I didn't believe you all when you said they got easier but today was fine! Skipped breakfast and lunch to save for dinner and thanks to a busy day at work genuinely barely noticed it. In the end I had ~60cals to spare which I was going to use on some pre-bed strawberries but not at all hungry now so just going to leave it!

This seems to be working...!
