Fasting today Friday 21st June
20 Jun 2013, 21:18
Morning Friday fasters, I have swapped my normal Thursday fast day for Friday this week as we had a 'soup kitchen' lunch at work yesterday to support our CEO who was doing the CEO sleep out last night. It is the shortest day of the year here today in Australia so hope it speeds by! Happy Friday fasting everyone.
I am in too - when I wake up tomorrow morning  .

Have to really cut to almost nothing tomorrow. Having a big party coming up Saturday celebrating wedding for my youngest son and baptism of their 4 month old son too  .. For THAT day I want to eat and enjoy and not counting calories
Hey guess what today is the longest day of year in U.S.! How about that. It has caused me to eat extra on my fast day too. But tomorrow is summer solstice and there is some giant moon due to appear to us all soon so I figure everything is in alignment to lose lots of weight anyway. And this is very off the subject but I have been watching an older tv show on Hulu called McLeods Daughters and I just love the show. Are you familiar with it?
Wow, a giant moon that sounds beautiful!

36 hour fast today, got some chicken and veg soup and salad for before work, then chopped veggies until tomorrow dinnertime.

Just been for a three mile run, was cursing every swear word under the sun by the last ten minutes, but still finished it :D Best of luck everyone!
I'm in, I usually do Mon/Wed/Fri but was quite surprised at my weigh in, managed to lose just over 4lb this week! I'm quite happy with the slow and steady
Congratulations to your son and grandson, @pist1958. What a great day for a wedding and baptism, and bonus, they will always remember the date because it is the day after skt. hans.

I am excited about the super moon! I hope the clouds will part enough for everyone to see it tonight. My parents invited me to a midsummer night's party, but I'm being boring. I'd rather fast all day and take a walk in the moonshine alone in the woods tonight.

Also congratulations to everyone on the southern hemisphere, things are brightening for you, soon it will be spring.
I am in for Friday! Technically, it is Friday even here; but I haven't slept yet so it's still Thursday to me. :) On the menu is baked chicken with green beans. Probably will have some veggie soup or a small greens salad as a second mini-meal. Happy Fasting Friday, everybody!
Good morning all :) I'm in as usual. Longest day of the year in UK, but wish we had a bit more sunshine!
Me too, fasting today. This is the first fast of my new start, so am staying optimistic...I lost no weight at all before, so have declared a strict zone for a while to really look at how my 5:2 is going. DH losing steadily, so know I wasn't doing too much wrong.
Wet and windy longest day here in France, never been known, its usually 30+ every day by now, the poor tourists are looking very sad.
Just water for me till this evening then corned beef hash and roasted vegetables....making me drool already......get a grip, woman!
I think I'm in... still not sure. Fasted Tuesday and had a really mad active weds and thurs (NOT fasting!) - included a day digging in the sweltering heat! Not working today and I want to fast (at a party tomorrow) but I promised hubby homemade pizza when he gets home tonight (he works away) and quite frankly I want it too - got cava in the fridge too to celebrate a new job. I went to toast a cinnamon and raisin bagel earlier cos I was ravenous, and manged to smell it then put it back! Was very snacky last night so I know I don't need it.

I might see if I can go through to dinner time with nothing and then see if I can find a home made pizza recipe for less than 500 cals (wish me luck!)

Longest day here - was still not fully dark here in Yorkshire at 10pm last night, bet the Swedes and Scots here can top that! Gloomy though.

Take care on your moonlight walk Glassmarble - sounds wonderful but I'd be a bit apprehensive going on my own - depends where you go I suppose!
Yeh it is summer time. My eldest finishes school next week, so we can have some time together at the swimming pool. I am on my last liquid fast of week. Then it is the weekend. Lots of gardening to do so that will keep me busy. Have a good day everyone.
Hello Friday fasters my OH & I are in too. There was a beautiful sky last night with pinks & blues & then around ten when it was nearly dark creams, blues & grey sort of woven across the sky. But even though it is the longest day today it is grey, overcast & I am finding it really depressing! I have got my SAD light on & trying to motivate myself to do my salsasise DVD.
I will be on fluids today & have my calories for supper which will be one of the M&S fuller longer meals.
Have a good day everyone!

If you make the crust thin enough, I'm sure you can make something absolutely delicious and keep in under 500 kcal. Sometimes I use a wheat tortilla instead of real pizza crust, but I'm not a huge fan of bread and I know many wouldn't find that very festive. Congratulations on the new job!

Thank you, and don't worry. I call them woods, but they're more like a thin strip of trees in a suburban neighborhood. There's a very level path, and it's light-colored gravel which is visible even in moon light. Everyone is going to be out there tonight, heading to and from the midsummer night's bonfire.
Wellthe job's not exactly exciting but I've come to the end of my current contract with the council I work for, and have got an admin position through redeployment. Very much a change of pace bvut I'm kind of looking forward to the stability and as it's part time it will allow me to carry on doing the environmental education which is what I really love doing.

Am off into town soon so will see what M&S's pizzas clock in at calorie wise. May not worry too much - I wasn't going to fast today anyway so might just go for a proper pizza & enjoy it.
I'm in as well, third fast of the week, will try to stick to 4:3 for the next two weeks as well, might lose a few more pounds before going on my summer holiday.
