Ok, so I've worked out my menu for today. 2 eggs, 30g cheddar cheese, 2 rashers back bacon, 1 flat mushroom (for a delish omelette!) and, later on in the evening merely for nibbling purposes...30g Cheerios (dry). All this comes out at exactly 500 cals. I won't count the dashes of milk I've had in my coffees today. I just can't cope with black coffee. Maybe another time! Image
After a good morning and a light lunch of soup I feel as though I've hit the wall of hunger in the last hour or so :starving: I'm having tea with a dash of milk to try and seem me through till dinner time - I'm not counting milk in tea/coffee this time around on 5:2 (until I hit a big plateau, at which point I will start!)
Noooo counting of milk dashes. Just not allowed!
I've just eaten a piece of cheese, whilst thinking about my omelette. BIG mistake! Image
Hi all, I'm so pleased to have got to the evening. Just one cup of tea shortly & my 500 cals are done for the day.
The longest journeys begin with a small step!
@Nursebean well mine ended up being closer to 500 cals in the end, nasty strong cough mixture has worked on cough but made me violently ill, so I was off to bed with no dinner left! Still 2 fasts of under 1000 cals and I dropped a kg, so whilst I'm at goal, I prefer a kg below, so will keep up my 3x1000 unless I have lunch out with a friend on one of those days.
Sorry to hear that @Gmh there's nothing worse than being sick. Poor you.
It must be good to have 1000 calories to play with
I must say, my omelette was super delish. Think I'll do that agin on Thursday...but maybe cheese and onion! Now, I'm here watching TV waiting for the final instalment of Silent Witness whilst drinking coffee and munching on my last remaining calories...a 30g bowl of Cheerios!!
Nearly there everyone...nearly there xx
@nursebean what on earth are cherrios? Sounds healthy
They are the most healthy and nutritious cereal hoops you can find!!
I'm in today! Normally a Monday faster but I didn't want to fast on MLK day. I prefer fasting at work, too. I had a can of soup for lunch, 180 cals, and plenty of tea & coffee. Perhaps I'll be super strong and skip dinner? We'll have to see how I'm holding up later!
