I'm in too. Im a newbie to 5.2 and delighted to have lost 6lbs in 2 weeks.

Comfort food for a cold day = home made vegetable soup - boil up tons of veg whatever you like, a stock cube and whizz it when cooked to make it thick. Add plenty of pepper or spices for extra flavour. Filling, warming, tasty, minimum of calories and plenty of goodness!
I stayed on track until 8.30 pm and. Succumbed to an ice cream after dinner. That will fuel me while I do some book work.

All the best everyone
I'm fasting today, second of the week. I've switched to a no/extremely low carb diet for both fasting and feed days and I must say, now I've ventured out of the 'no carb fog' that stuck around for the first couple of days, I'm almost two weeks down and feel great! I'm so much less bloated and generally feel 'lighter', I'd recommend everyone to give it a go, even if it's only for a week. I feel like my skin looks clearer and brighter too, although that could be making an effort to drink more water. I'm going to try and keep this up for a month, then reintroduce carbs but still keep it to a minimum. I allow myself one meal with carbs a week, like a nice bit of pasta or a sandwich, which seems to keep any cravings at bay.

Today I'm sticking to an apple, a few slices of low calorie ham and some grapes throughout the day - not sure what to have for dinner yet. Any suggestions!? Must be under 300 cal. Might have a quick look at the recipes on here X
Good night all. Off to bed with me, a successful fast under my belt.
Fasting today, my second of the week and my 4th since me and my fiance restarted fasting last week. We were successfully fasting back in Jan and then fell off the wagon when we got engaged. however we've both maintained weight which is good...but now need to get back in the fasting mindset. I found it easy last week but really really struggling today, had a ham salad a couple of hours ago and am so hungry, feeling a bit spaced out too. Cannot wait for our fish dinner tonight!! :)
Well done in getting back on track@indiegirl and fiance.
Love yr avatar,.i have a nice pic in my gallery which is similar to yours...

Well done@hadenuff on a great start!
And well done @Sallyoon successfully completing yr day x
I walked with my friend today and have managed to hold off eating until tonight. I am going to have baked egg and spinach with some grated carrot and pickle onions and a baby bel cheese. Plus later will have a hot chocolate if I feel like it.
Note to self........buy chicken/turkey for fast days and not pork!
We changed our minds about tea as OH is very hungry soooooooo
Pork steaks (250ish cals per 100g raw weight  )
Mashed swede
Roast peppers, onions, mushrooms
With gravy! It works out around 500 cals each, but always give OH bigger portion as his TDEE fast cals is 650ish whereas mine is 450ish
Hope everyone else is fasting well?
First weigh in for springy challenge tomorrow , good luck to all you other springers :clover:
I'm fasting today. Usually find Thursdays hard but for some weirdy weird reason, even though I've just done Wednesday and Thursday back to back and all I only had yesterday was water and a few strawberries, I haven't found it hard at all today. How is that possible when I haven't eaten properly since Tuesday tea time? (mind I did pig out on pizza and other naughtiness hence the unusual double fasting). The body is weird. Or maybe it's cos I've got a cold.
I don't know the answer @egregious!
All i know is i feel grateful when it's easy! Not too bad a day for me today..have had better - and worse!
Well done on yr back to back x
I'm in today; still early here, not quite 11am. Came here 'cause having a difficult day work-wise, and found I wanted to eat even though NOT hungry yet. (Good thing I know what that feels like now, eh?) Reading a few posts made me feel better; back to work, loads of tea till late afternoon at least...later!
Just want to say huge congrats to @sallyo!

Leaving food on a plate.....that's phenomenal progress! Very proud of you!

Keep up the good work... :victory:

@sallyo,

An English summer and an Australian winter would be my idea of climate heaven. Too bad they have to both happen at the same time!

Those 2 hours before dinner are the toughest. That's exactly where I am now. I woke up at 3:30 AM due to a huge storm that made our power go on and off, couldn't get back to sleep, and therefore the number of hours I'm fasting awake are much more than usual. I will be glad to see the end of this day!
That was a tough one today! really struggled this afternoon but luckily was at work with no food about! if hunger comes in waves then that was a very loooonnnggg wave! felt better by 6pm and even went to zumba pre supper!
1 month in now and happy with myself for keeping going beyond the initial novelty.
0.2kg off since last Thursday, not great but still heading in the right direction!
