Thanks so much @AnnieD :)

I appreciate so much all the good cheer! And now I'm facing my 2nd year. So, I'm plugging in, hopefully I'll keep losing! I'm so excited to go farther. Thanks again all for all the inspirations along the way

Ooh! ooh! My turn!!! I watched the MM doc online on April 4 or 5 (can't remember which), went to his website and then found this website and joined on April 7! I did my first fast on the 8th and the support here made it much easier! So much information and support here. The recipes found here, the idea of low carb, highish fat, and all the other stuff I have learned have helped immensely. I met my goal last August and now hang out most in the fitbit and maintaining tents with forays into Chatterbox and WAGS.

I may not be one to post very much, but I do read it most every day and always send out best wishes for success to all here!

Happy Fastiversary @debbiejgb Well done on your achievements with 5:2 this past year.
Totally agree the support on this forum is amazing I certainly wouldn't have done so well during my first year without all the knowledgeable people on here. Good luck. :clover: :clover: :clover:

Also one year ago since I joined this Forum and did my first fast and yes,5:2 worked for me! I have been maintaining since the beginning of August and since December I don't fast as such, just eat when I feel hungry and if I overindulge one day, then the next I cut back. Delighted to see how this forum is developing and embracing the different methods people are successfully using to reduce and keep off their weight.

It's my Fastiversary. I started actually on the 7th of April but I didn't count it as my start date because I had eye surgery on that day so I had to fast. I did my first 'real' fast - that is, voluntary, on the 10th.

I am a little bit sad however because my scales gave up the ghost and we bought new scales - better ones, and they have given me a higher weight, which I believe is correct. So I'm not a healthy weight, which doesn't really surprise me. I'm still fat. However I still have lost the same amount of weight, 13 kgs, because my original weight 78 kg would have been 5 kgs heavier, if you see what I mean. The old scales said I weight 64. something but the new scales say 70kg, after a fast day. 71 kg today. So I have to go back to my pre-Xmas goal of trying to get under 70kg. This is a touch depressing.

However I do celebrate a year of faithful fasting. I love 5:2. I will continue because it is the best way to lose weight. I love the forum and I don't think I could have stuck to it without the support. I especially love the Fasting Today thread and I always log in multiple times on that day to share my progress and to see how everyone else is going. I love reading inspiring stories of other people's amazing weight loss and I also love it when people share their frustrations and I learn from everything other people go through. I love to read where people are from and I want everyone to add that to their profile. I also love to see how much weight everyone has lost. That is so inspiring. If you can do it, perhaps I can.

In fact, I have!!! I now take a size 14 instead of a size 16 or even 18. Most of my weight is lost off my hips, bum and thighs, I think. I still have a lot to lose off my belly and bust. I still take size 16 up top, although I must have lost some off my belly because I fit into smaller jeans. Thank you thank you, everyone of you who keep this forum alive.

@LittleJoy congratulations to you - well done, we are on a journey together to ultimately maintain together. Meanwhile I'll be cheering you and fellow FSday peeps on BIG time.

@debbiejgb - wonderful news - you must be very happy - and if you want cheering on, do come by fastday and say hello - we are here!

@Sallyo my you have done so well as you know - many congratulations to you. Things can slow down for many reasons - a year is a long time period. Do you have a buddy? I only ask because mine keeps me on my toes in a lovely way!

I was thinking there would be more around this time, since the program ran on our PBS stations! I'm so so glad that I got to watch it and change my life this year. It's a big deal, as I thought with my metabolism slowing down, that I had no other options! I'm so glad to have you all along on this journey with me, as you said @Lizbean, we will be cheering eachother on! :like: :clover:
