Oh the weather outside is rainy, and grandchildren abound on hols. I have a strong need to get them out of the house before it's wrecked, tomorrow's 10 hour stint looms :0/
We tend usually to go to zoos or parks but far too wet and muddy for that.
Hmmm

Take them to see a film or to an Art Gallery or a Museum I know my Grand children love to do that.

I agree- you need a child friendly museum-or a play barn.

Two things! After a frantic search,it seems i have lost my John Lewis free cake n coffee vouchers! hell's bells!
So fed up with elderly- person- type mislaying of objects.
The most bonkers one recently was looking for a birthday card when all the time it was firmly gripped under my arm!
Second thing...will we all end up with carpal tunnel syndrome after the endless scrolling down pages? I' m sure we didnt used to have to do that :?:
Oh Bal @Ballerina P' s hubz had the painful ' nagging toothache of the foot' known as Plantar Facilitis that i have recently added to list of ailments  am sure it won't be long before i need that ear trumpet tho!xx

I can barely believe this Senior Moment happened
Got into bed last night, snuggled down, closed eyes, started to drift off, suddenly realised i still had my glasses on! xx

Ps is is just me or has the traffic on the forum slowed since the change?

Hallo fellow fasterlings, grandsons dispatched home, peace descends on a semi-wrecked house. We visited a huge garden centre near Huntingdon, toys, lunch, fish in tanks; on to Houghton Mill and the rain stopped so we went puddle-jumping for a mile or so, saw a swan and 6 cygnets, bought books and dinosaurs.
I've eaten too many biscuits of course, third fast of the week now begun until Thursday 7pm.
So now I have a quiet moment on here and notice there's definitely less activity, and it is a bit more clunky to use (sorry to be negative). Do hope it smooths out and attracts new members soon :0)
Wow I'm tired.

Yes, I have lost a bit of enthusiasm for the forum since the change over.
Grandkids tomorrow, but short stint, only 4 hours. Would go to a play barn, but they'll be crowded for half term, so we're making scones, walking to the playpark and playing! I'm tired before they arrive!

Like Penny I also am struggling a little bit since the changeover but I'm hoping it will only be temporary

I think that maybe people are finding it more difficult to find their way around the new look forum - or it could just be me! Mind you, I couldn't find anything on the old one, so only ever went to the 'New Posts' page anyway!

Logging on also seems to be an issue for lots of people, so that could also be slowing the traffic down. I just keep myself logged in permanently and that saves any problems.

Grandchildren returned to Germany this morning, so peace has descended and I have decided to fast today. Must get off this forum and tidy the house! Keep busy! Keep busy!

I must admit that I am now settling in a bit, still grieve for the old forum  but as it's not coming back I'd better just get on with it and grow to love this one. :victory:

I never log out :0@ Am I an addict?
Feeling smug having lunched on home made GF bread toasted with butter, avocado and lemon juice on top, cup of green chai tea and 2 GF lemon biscuits. OH gone to play airplanes at a show so a gentle pace today, but the ironing awaits my attention so adios and hasta la vista (no idea how to spell that!).
