Woke today with this song in my head..lovely gentle song and vid from Tim Booth of James..a very underrated band with the most loyal of followers..

The Rolling Stones in Abu Dhabi
not my video as I watched it with my eyes! Grateful to the youtube poster though.
This was their final song! Two solid hours and they were AWESOME! ('Awesome' is reserved, by me , for things like the Great Wall of China)
Truly brilliant night.
Can't believe that I didn't have any Stones on my iTunes. That's sorted now. :D

Thanks @janeg x glad you enjoyed..and yes watching with eyes better than watching thru a phone! they are totally fab aren't they..will they ever hang up their guitars? I hope not.
I have lots of fave Stones tracks..and their Sticky Fingers album is my favourite, plus their very early stuff..but i love above all else,She's A Rainbow...

Ah, they didn't do that one [tag]CandiceMarie[\tag] but they did 2 hours and I knew all bar 2. Not bad for a young thing! ;)
They are like the Spitting Image puppets of themselves now. I was so thrilled to see them, and they were real! beloved was very entertained by me.
When they went off, I said to him they had to do Satisfaction and I nearly burst when the first chords started.
Brilliant night and definitely one of the best I've seen. *sigh, in awe and a little bit in love*
Yeh @janeg! I 've always been a little bit in love with Keith!
What troupers they are, wrinkly rock, but they still got what it takes! AND have wriiten some classics
Wish Brian was still with them RIP x
Here's a Mick/ Keith composition i love..

Er I haven't been in this tent before but I've just heard "The Age of Plastic" (I think that's what it's called) by the Buggles. Does anyone remember them? Used to love them and have them on vinyl somewhere

Ballerina x
I've been thinking about Pete Seeger a lot lately since his recent death at age 94. A few weeks ago a younger woman (age 50) said to me, "Who's Pete Seeger?" Here's Pete in Australia in 1956 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl-yszPdRTk
and here he is in 2009 at the pre-inaugural celebration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE4H0k8TDgw His voice was gone by then but he could still get a crowd going.

He was one of our great heroes.
@izzy. Just noticed, that snow patrol vid has been viewd over 75 million times! Makes my mind boggle!
And@Marybeth yes PS was and is an absolute icon x
