Good luck @MaryAnn! X lets know how you got on x
Thanks CM. 23 mins off my PB!! Now I have to stand through yo la tengo.
Well done @MaryAnn but oh my gosh, will you have the energy left to stand thru a concert? Are you having some nice celebratory goodies to eat and drink x?
I went to an onsen (hot bath). It was awesome. The concert was great too, but my feet really ache now!
We all have our heartstrings played on by one song or the other for different reasons.

Queen; Someone to love. Got it on a tape back in the 80th from "not a lover, but a love of a kind".

Foreigner; I want to know what love is. Hmm, now that one is quite obvious. ... 8&oe=UTF-8

Genesis (original) Carpet Crawler. Don't know what it is with that tune, but it twists my heart around every time.
Just read the lyrics and hmm, well, somebody was under the influence of something fun then LOL.

Promise, I have plenty more to play
@Wolfie i LOVE " I Want to Know What Love Is.."
And @Juliana.Rivers i only just noticed Revolution..i agree with what you said,we only had a few records and they were played and enjoyed over and over..i' m older than you tho,and Revolution reminds me of the pub and ice cold lager and lime! X
Here's the Beautiful South and Lean on Me
This one is for our fellow faster @angie090465 who has just lost her beloved Dad X
So sorry to hear your news @Angie090465 just to let you know I am thinking about you and send you my love.

Bean xx
I love following those talent shows... Britain's got talent for 2014 is now on.

these are soooooooo good

and for a bit of a laugh...
I agree, Juliana, those are soooo good. Please post more. The only thing that bothers me are the loud comments from the guys backstage (why do we care what they think?), and the non-stop cheers from the audience. Seems like these performers put everything into what they do, and shouldn't have to compete for attention.
I love Rain by the Beatles...wonderful lyrics ..

"Can you hear me, that when it rains and shines
(When it rains and shines)
It's just a state of mind?
(When it rains and shines)
Can you hear me, can you hear me?"
RIP to prolific songwriter Gerry Goffin...wrote so many hit songs..
One of my favourite songs by him is Chains, which he wrote for the Cookies..but..
I love the Beatles version best...
Funny little Beatles vid here too xx
Wooo getting unlimited broadband tomorrow...can listen to LOADS music!
This one is sooooooo mellow....a cover of Velvet Underground's Sweet Nuthin by HollisBrown,an American band who recently played my hometown x
A fantastic song from the seventies but very timely for now

Peace Train by Cat Stevens..
Justin Timberlake covering The Jacksons Shake Your Body. What a performer!
