I almost forgot to post this...
The other week, after 40 weeks of 5:2 dieting, I had lost 74 lbs and consequently I have reached my goal weight of 180 lbs (in total, I have lost 121 lbs, but I didn't discover 5:2 until I'd already lost 47 of them!)
I have now re-assessed my situation, and I know that I need to lose a bit more yet (I always expected this would be the case, to be honest), so have reset my goal to 10 lbs lower. I have however, changed my routine so that I am now eating my full TDEE on non-fast days, whereas until now I have been eating more like TDEE-10% max. Consequently, I expect to lose my last 10 lbs at a much slower rate, but I hope that by increasing my strength training I can maintain and perhaps even gain muscular weight in this period.
