I feel so chuffed!
06 May 2013, 13:28
Today is so special for me.
I got on the scales, and WOW! They read my name......150lbs.
Just over 13 weeks since starting out, I have reached my target weight, which I really thought was not possible, but a nice dream.
I have lost 22lbs, and gained a little muscle, but very importantly, I have got my waist:height ratio into a healthy, shapely figure. My BMI is no longer deemed overweight, and I feel great.
5:2ing has made me really think about the food I eat, the exercise I need to do, and the complexity of maintining sustained weight loss in today's society. I know that the whole approach of intermittant fasting is the way for me, and I will be forever thankful that I saw the idea re-launched by the BBC in January, and glad that I reckognised it as being different from the countless diet regimes brought out every January for many years.
Keep at it everyone, and many thanks for the encouragement and inspiraion I have had on this web-site, it has been invaluable.
