I'm 38 and currently weight 266lbs, I started my weightloss journey on 12/11/2017 weighing 320lbs. I'm currently doing OMAD & Keto. I regularly fast for 48h but I'd like to go on a longer fast but the last time I tried to go 72h I had some complications so I'm sticking to the 48h fasts with one day refeeds till I hit my target weight which is 200lbs.

The whole point about the 5:2 way of eating is that it should help you to lose weight and then fit seamlessly into your way of life to allow maintenance of your new goal weight. It is not a 'quick fix' but a way to re-educate your body and mind to a new approach to eating. One which is sustainable over the long term and which will do your body no harm and may have benefits above and beyond weight loss.
You obviously have started off in a very determined manner and congratulations on your weight loss so far. Please use the forum for information and inspiration and let us know how you are getting on going forward. Stay strong!
