For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Ayup everyone (that's hello from Yorkshire :grin: )
I would just like to say that since I've been trying the 5-2 it was a challenge until I came across this forum.
I'm on my 8th week and lost about 7lb's so far, I really find that reading all of your posts spurs me on if I'm
struggling.
I really find that I'm managing my non-fast days so much better.
Keep up the brilliant work ladies and gents :grin:

Hello, @Cathykaty, I'm very pleased to hear that you are finding this forum so helpful. I've been here for just over three years and this WOL, and this lovely forum, has meant that I have managed to keep my weight stable for the first time in over forty years. Hurrah! Hello and welcome. My weight loss almost exactly correlates to my forum activity. i.e. when I visit here regularly I lose more then when I don't. Check in each day and you will find lots of friendly advice support and a few giggles along the way.
