Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi everyone

I've been here about a month I guess its time I introduced myself properly!
I guess I just joined this forum and threw myself into the first thread I saw which was the Weekly Challenge - totally lacking decorum!!
About me - I'm a 40yo woman living in Sydney. I hit 70kg 6 years ago when I quit smoking. That was 10kg on top of what I was weighing before as a pack-a-day smoker.
I then cleaned up my act, changing my diet drastically from a KFC/Mcdonalds etc diet to a mainly vegetarian diet thanks to influence of my new husband, for whom I'd quit smoking. I turned to a pescatarian diet, and later I stopped eating dairy -thanks to the influence of my sister in law.
During that time ~2012 I read about IF on bodybuilding sites and I gave it a go a couple of times, but It seemed really difficult, so I didn't pursue it.

I have now reached a weight which is ok - but, because I'm finding it awesome to be lighter and to be able to fit into nice clothes, that I have wanted to set myself the goal of reaching a size 6. In fact I've been chasing this goal for the last 4 years since I got down to 58kg - seem a bit shallow - but what the hell
Since that time I've basically gone up and down over and over and never staying at the lower weight.

6 weeks into a 4:3 diet and I've lost 3kg with which I'm so happy - the most progress in a long time!

So hello everyone  , and thank you for the support you have given me so far

It's funny, when you posted your tracker question earlier and I saw how long you've been on the forum, I was surprised, as I'd thought you'd been here a lot longer!!

But, it's nice to meet you and welcome! I'm glad you decided to post on the challenge thread!! Good for you for quitting smoking AND then working on your weight loss. Very impressive!

Welcome! And congrats for your achievement so far!
I'm almost at the point where I can go shop for newer, smaller clothes (still have a long way to go, but every 10lbs deserve a shopping trip, right?) - and I can't wait!
