The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi Pam @Pamela Carmichael

We missed your post as it took a long time for the administrators to approve your membership and so your post did not appear in recent "active topics"... Sorry!

Maybe by now you will have read through the LEARN pages and found the answer to your query. But if not, if you are doing a 5:2 style fast, then the idea is that you stop eating after dinner on the day before your fast day, on the day of your fast you eat up to 500 cals at times that suit you (most people save most cals for an evening meal), and then don't eat again until the following day.

Do let us know how you are going. Good luck and best wishes. :clover:
