Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Another newbie here. I don't know anyone who IFs - in fact most think it's a crazy idea - so I looked for a forum and found you all here. So far I've been doing about a 9:15 split because that is just how things have worked out, but that may change. Time will tell.

Hi @Ivy and welcome.

There is lots of information on this site, so do read the "learn" section and all the discussion threads of interest. Things are a little quiet here at the moment, for various reasons, but please do participate in any discussions of interest. There is an eating windows thread that you may like to read thru - it's pretty lengthy!

Best wishes and good luck! :clover:

Hi, Ivy. I'm afraid that I am not familiar with some of these terms yet. By IF you are referring to Fasting?
I've had an uncle who used to recommend it to everyone to try fasting for 2 weeks to detox the system, but I was always skeptical because of my hypoglycemia.

Some people say that 3 days of fasting is enough for most people. I've only ever gone a full day before and couldn't sleep the entire night because of hunger.

Nowadays - I add a bit of banana and a glass of Keifer(buttermilk) to help stabilize the feeling of hunger.
