Introducing Myself

Hi. I am a 47 year old SAHM who is homeschooling her autistic son. I lost about twenty pounds going low carb. Then I read about fasting. Somehow, it feels great,to take a break from eating. Food tastes amazing after a fast!

I struggle with several issues however.

On the evening of a “feast” day, I always eat a massive, amount of food. Even after a day of reasonable eating.
I am not even hungry when I do this.

I try to fast every other day. By day three, I am really tired.

Anyone else experience this?

Hi and welcome!

I think it is very hard to fast for more than 2 days a week. I personally think you'd be better off fasting for the 2 days and then working on controlling your non-fast days better. I did the 2 day fasting thing for a while, but then it got hard for me, so now I do 16:8, which means I fast for 16 hours a day and eat within an 8 hour window. There are lots of different ways to do it, you just need to find what's best for you!
