For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Welcome, @Beark. Tell us a bit about yourself. How much are you hoping to lose? In general, intermittent fasting doesn't necessarily promise fast results (~1lb/week on average, if I remember correctly), but people seem to be able to stick with it for longer than other diets.

thanks mary ann looking for 25 lbs loss over the long haul but more importantly to feel better and give system a rest thanks

I hope all is going well with your fast days....let us know how you are feeling.

As MaryAnn said, this is a slow and steady way of life. But I do feel better and less sluggish when I fast a couple of days a week.

Yes, December is a very difficult month for many people. I don't even think about it in December. But my rule is I come back in January ready to behave :-)

Yes, December can be very mean! Don't let it discourage you, I think most of us have a couple of holiday pounds to take care of. Let's do this!!
