Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Re-Introducing myself
28 Feb 2018, 03:27
Hi, I have been away more than a year, and returning to try again. The year I did the 5:2 Fast went very well. I was healthy, lost weight, and lost body inches. Even my week with son and wife in San Francisco went well. We ate at Asian restaurants that had lots of vegis. Come Jan. at home I went following the ambulance 4 times in Jan. 2017, twice for hubby and twice for 95-yr-old aunt, who lives with us. She stayed into Feb. the second time. I stress ate, and ate in the cafeteria. Another major health emergency in March for hubby. Anyway, I regained all that I had lost, but not more. That makes this different from every other plan I have tried, where I regained, then added even more. I have even started losing a few pounds just by not eating breakfasts, or over-indulging (most of the time!)

So, hi to everyone I knew in 2016, and I am committed to be healthier. After all, I am the only driver here right now, so I get to pick out the foods. Any other ideas?

Hi GrannieAnnie!

I remember you! Welcome back. I'm sorry to hear about the health issues in your family. All of that can be so stressful, it's hard to eat healthy! But, you've come back and that's what matters! Are you planning to do 5:2 or some other variation.

Good luck!

Lovely to see your name again @grannieannie! It's a lot quieter here than it used to be, but there is still support around.

Best wishes and good luck, for both the fasting and your family's health. :clover:

Hi Sassy! Glad there is still support.
Family so-so, but if I am not healthy, who will do it? My health is up to me.
First full-day fast in a year, and it is going well. First walk on dirt road with dog....ice is gone, snow cover less than 6 inches in woods. We've been having spring weather already.
