For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I've been doing 5:2 since about the 10th Jan and lost 6kg - the first 4kg very quickly and now a steadier 0.5kg per week.

I still get light-headed on fasting days even though I drink a lot so I'm not totally convinced it is just down to dehydration. Apart from that I'm finding the whole diet fairly easy to stick at.

I tend to fast from midnight to midnight but then eat soon after my 24 hours are up. This seems a bit like cheating but the results are still OK so far...

Welcome BlastFirst to the forum! Glad to hear that 5:2 has been working well for you, your results sound good and after the initial impressive loss the reduction to 0.5kg / week is consistent with what others are achieving - did you look at overall stats?

I used to get a bit of dizziness on fast days but not any more, so it may just be a matter of getting used to it. Otherwise it has been suggested that a bit of salt in the water might help because dehydration is about salt? Can't say I've tried it myself...

Re the 24 hour fast: if it works for you it's good!
