Survived 1st fast day
15 Feb 2013, 18:05
I did a 34 hour fast and when I got up this morning I thought I'd be grabbing stuff out of the fridge like a mad woman BUT I was no hungrier than normal! I slept poorly but that's due to a stressful situation at work which has given me many sleepless nights. I've not gone mad on food today either (so far) but I'm extremely tired and we are looking at takeaway food for this evening. Having said that I feel confident that 1 takeaway will not have a terrible adverse effect and I will be eating less tomorrow to compensate. I'm doing 2nd fast day on Sunday which I'm perversely looking forward to! The brilliant thing with this Method of eating is there isn't really anything that is a bad day food wise and the fact you let yourself off the hook for overindulgence once in a while is a far healthier mental attitude. In the past I'd be beating myself up for having a takeaway 2nd day into a diet, but not this time :)

Yep, you've earned it. I've felt more energetic on this diet which I couldn't get my head round at first.

hi jackie- isn't it a refreshing change to eat like this? Like you said- any other diet you would beat yourself up for eating take away....here we are in charge of our own destiny- no weigh-ins and some annorexic telling us what we are doing wrong....good luck to all of us- this is an exciting journey!!!- ursula
