Started the new 5:2 regime on Friday (15th Feb) after realising that as I am fast approaching my 59th birthday I needed to ensure that I reduce my weight , cholesterol and blood pressure if I am to enjoy my retirement years.
Found the restricted way of eating manageable as I kept it in mind that it was only for one day and I could eat normally the next day. What I found though really amazed me as I couldn't manage my normal portions of food on Saturday and on working out my daily intake of calories for Saturday they totalled around 1500. My portions had actually become "normal" without even consciously trying. Is this what others have experienced?
I am certainly intrigued by this lifestyle and have no qualms about adopting this as a away of life and hope to reap the benefits detailed in all the books and articles I have read. Fast day 2 tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it
