For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi.

I am new to this and this is my first day of fasting. I had oats, yoghurt and berries for breakfast and my cunning plan is to last now until dinner around 7pm. I am very used to eating quite constantly (hence the 3 stone I need to lose!) so am venturing into the unknown here and am quite nervous strangely enough.

I am feeling a little light headed and do have a history of copious amounts of fainting as a teenager but I will keep going as am really optimistic about the health benefits as well as the weight loss.

Thanks! My first day was a complete success. I found it actually not as bad as I expected and when it came time for dinner, I wasn't starving at all. It was a very nice surprise and I am now on day 2.

The other nice side effect was yesterday when I was out and about, I would normally grab anything to eat quite constantly during the day, but yesterday, I had much more control, made better choices and didn't feel the need to snack constantly.
